That document looks fairly new to have been produced in 1961. It's amazing how anyone can make a document these days and get a notary stamp. If people want to believe what is reported, more power to them.

This thread is about a quote from an article from some guy in Africa misstating himself. Not about Obama's birth certificate, athough at this point if the O word comes up on anything Birthers immediately scramble together to call in question a document that has been shown, has been authenticated for a man who is the President of the United States.

It can't be a translation error, although they do have several tribal languages the official language of Ghana is English. English is also the language of government and education.

They ment what they said and Barry needs to release the official long birth certificate or this will never go away. Let me ask this; if he has nothing to hide then what is the point of placing his entire past under lock and seal until 1/20/2012 or until he leaves office and hiring hundreds of lawyers to go after anyone who tries to dig up information about his past?

fatherland and paternal ancestors doesn't do anything against him as we knew his dad was from kenya.

but continent of his birth, mixed with grannies recollection makes this sound pretty bad. although of course that guy writing could be wrong. maybe this is common knowledge over there, or just hopeful thinking?

No. Birth and ancestory are clearly two different things.
Continent of his birth is just that ... the continent where he was born.

So far the argument of those who are pro-Obama eligibility sounds like this: "It is because it is." When the legitimate question of the questionable validity of the COLB is brought up those same defenders sputter and cough and bring name calling into the discussion.

When Obama went to Pakistan in 1981, he was traveling either with a British passport or an Indonesian passport. If he was traveling with a British passport, that would provide proof that he was born in Kenya on Aug. 4, 1961, not in Hawaii as he claims. And if he was traveling with an Indonesian passport, that would tend to prove that he relinquished whatever previous citizenship he held, British or American, prior to being adopted by his Indonesian stepfather in 1967.

Now, if he has a legitimate answer, fine. So far he's offered nothing... just one million dollars spent in court defending the allegations. The American people are owed an answer. A truthful, legitimate answer.

The point is if he was born in Kenya, which seems very likely, then he is NOT a natural born US citizen and does NOT meet the constitutional requirements to be President. In Africa it's taken as a given he was born in Kenya. At this point I think the Obama Kool-Aid drinkers in the media will support him no matter what turns up but I think it would be nice, for posterity, to prove how badly the Democrats and the media corrupted the campaign and Presidential election process.

Ive been talking alot to my classmates about obama and they refuse to believe hes not a us citizen, I even showed them this and they just throw up their defenses and look for a loophole to some how legitimze his citizenship.

i guess some people are afraid of the truth, and some people just believe what they want.

i understand completely. our constitution should not be taken lightly of.

I'm not American, or even living in the U.S. so of course this issue isn't as important to me as it is to a lot of you.
However, I do take an interest in what goes in in the U.S. as it usually ends up affecting us in the U.K. eventually.
Personally I like Obama, and feel he is the right man for the job, and I wouldn't mind betting that any Americans that agree with me are not at all interested in where he was born, and whether he is really eligible for the position as president. The most important thing is will he do his best for the good of the people....and I am sure he will.....and is.
I'm pretty sure that all of you that are fighting to get to the bottom of this, are people that were against him getting into office in the first place, and are looking for anything that will get rid of him.

I know about all the NWO stuff, Illuminati, etc.etc. but I strongly believe there are things going on behind the scenes that we don't really understand yet, and Obama has been chosen for a reason. I don't believe he is just another puppet.....but I do believe that maybe for a while he is having to play his cards very carefully.

Citizen or not, he's still not fit for the job. Of course neither was McCain for that matter. Heck it's been none of the above in presidential elections for a while now.

English is America's language but everyone doesn't necessarily speak English.
