See I hate that.

I hate how people are like "Girls and girls are hot. Guys and guys are nasty."

It's the same thing. It is a product of conditioning, you're right.

I hate how all of my friends who are female and who aren't straight get the WORST pick up lines from guys about all sorts of things, and people always ask about their experiences like it's something from porn.

But all my guy friends who aren't straight had serious issues even telling their friends and were granted with awful responses most of the time.

I'm not saying this is true in all cases but in my experience as a pansexual female (who thinks gender is a joke to begin with) I am so tired of the comments. And my bisexual and lesbian female friends feel the same way.

Most of the "lesbian" or "bisexual" girls in porn AREN'T. It's just for you stupid men because it's hot to watch that, but even seeing two guys holding hands makes you feel sick.

I don't think I've ever been entitled to any automatic rights because I'm straight. I receive 'rights' (if there ever was such a thing) because I'm human. Gays feel separated because they make it that way. By standing out and crying wolf of course people are going to look at them differently.

Maybe I'm just upset to see this topic all over the internet lately. There are massive events taking place in the world right now and we are worried about homosexuality? Come on...G-d doesn't care if you are gay. In the end, nobody's opinion on this planet matters. I was told as a young child that "only G-d can judge you." Who cares what your peers think?

I already have one of those, but thanks! m'Bride doesn't seem to understand that black t-shirts go with EVERYTHING.

Of course, to my credit, I no longer giggle in the mornings when she approaches me doing the "stork dance" so I can make a judgement call which shoe looks the best.

so, I have that going for me, which is nice.

Good thread! It's been fun.

I think a major problem within the gay community is their is no community support as far as tradition goes. No one their to really relate and fall back on once they have come to the reality of their decision.

I may not have it right, and this is the feeling I get when I see documentaries on t.v. and what not. There seems to be many instances where once the person has made the decision that he wants to live a gay lifestyle and they 'come out of the closet' they want and feel the need to jump in with both feet.

Its like "alright, Im gay! Phew! Now that I got that off my chest lets party, do drugs and have sex!"..Just like other noraml straight consenting adults... And theres not anyone there to say "whoa there champ, just cuz your gay doesnt mean you need to start walking, talking and hoppin around like a flaming horny bunny that humps everything in site."

So, now that they are ready to go with their new found sexuality, they immediately feel discriminated against because they are the minority. The minority by a large deficit. So theres almost an immediate defensiveness that will bond to anything that feels the same way as themselves and at the same time demonizes the other side that doesnt automatically agree with their life decision.

Im not saying this is the way it happens with all gays, but I think these are common difficulties that some gays have to deal with once their decision has been made.

Ohh it's not about what anybody thinks, clearly my thread proves that.

It's about you having the right to marry another human being, when I don't get to.

What's the reason? Apparently I'm not a human if you get rights for being human as you stated.

What is marriage anyway? A man-made piece of paper that says you love someone. Why is approval needed to pursue your heart's desires?

I agree, but I can give you a reason for that kind of behaviour.

Imagine, you a straight male ( I assume) who loves the touch of a women.

But society for let's say 25 years of your life, tells you that it's wrong, and you can't. So you don't for that long, because you are afraid of the social consequences.

Once you decided not to care anymore, would you just be content with sleeping with one girl, or all of them?

That is exactly what happens to those who "come out of the closet" and end up screwing their lives up (pardon the pun) because they jump it right away.

Our culture is not about drugs or sex at all, it's mostly about acceptance. The problem we have is our community leaders are morons, and should be removed.

They need to be replaced with people who don't care about images and who don't scream gay rights everytime they walk by a church. We need people who actually can carry on a conversation and not get angry when some biggot comes along looking for a fight.

Again not about approval. It's about the benefits afforded to a married couple vs a non married one.

There is an incredible difference my friend.

Homosexuals don't make a big deal for nothing. They don't have the same rights as straight people. Straight people shouldn't have any automatic rights. We're all human. Seriously once you're an adult, you're an adult, and that should be the friggen end of it.

Marriage is a big right that is missing. And some adoption rules are different, lots of things are different, tax benefits are different because of the marriage thing. Really.

And if people didn't go around saying "I hate gays they are gross and wrong and Satan and they give us AIDs and kill kittens" I would agree about the fact that homosexuals exaggerate. But they don't. It's wrong to think that they do, because things are a ton harder. Taking off from work to be with a kid, hospital rights, lots of things. And on top of it, people hate them.

Perez Hilton and the way he judged Miss America proves it

Any male judge who can look at this woman and still desire a man is living proof homosexuality is a mental disease.

The Gay pride - Straight Pride thing will always spur competition with eachother. tis human nature to try and make your view the superior view that everyone should see (albeit it's a primitive characteristic) but that should be old news.

I think in the case of gay marriage, the only people that will make out in the end will be the divorce lawyers, because this opens up a whole new group of people that will be wanting their services in a few years.

Gay couples think it's great about getting married, but they don't see that they also have to deal with getting their asses handed to them in a divorce court.

"Hear about the new Divorce Barbie? She comes with all her stuff. And all of Ken's stuff."

Tax benifits, hospital benifits, childcare benifits, the right to say "we're married."

It's kind of a big deal. People would be pissed if like... blonde people couldn't get married.

Agreed. Nothing to do with love at all. Marriage is a legality between two people.
Love is where you find it, and I'm all for that, whether straight, gay, bi, or whatever you are.
Love does not discriminate by sexuality, nor does it need a piece of paper to prove it.

If you're saying gay people shouldn't get married to save themselves from nasty divorces, that's the worst argument ever and the funny thing is I've heard it before.

People think homosexuals would get divorced as much or more than heterosexuals. I disagree. I think the millions of people who've been waiting decades to marry their true loves would be happier than 90% of all heterosexual couples.

I'm still superior.
I can make a baby with my mate without a 3rd party or science involved at all. The way nature intended, in the bedroom.
gay people can't even adopt.
And as far as having a baby with your husband, I thought it was illegal for a gay couple to have a child in the US?

but seriously, why did you guys have to bring the gay fight onto ATS? ANd what is your kind's obsession with the word fabolous? do you think its funny or somehting?

MODS shouldn't this be a belowtopsecret thread? this isn't really a conspiracy, just a couple gay guys trying to start a fight. not really a conspiracy, this thread is pointless.

You just stated that it's not about what people think. Well, why is it about acceptance then? If you ever get to the point where nobody's opinion matters to you, then the oppression is gone. I'm not saying it's gone to the entire gay community, but it would be to you. Separate yourself from the judging views of society and you'll feel a level of freedom like never before. Who care's what the brainwashing tube tells you is right and wrong? Man has created a system called 'society' to control population thoughts and views. Separate yourself from that and view the world as a spectator.

I'm not trying to degrade the gay movement. My view on society applies to every aspect of life.

I agree, but that's what we want, the chance to be as miserable as everybody else.

I mean I'm not American, I live in Canada, and I am hapilly married to my husband for over 15 years now.

That being said, I am still an advocate for the states, since humans are my people and it hurts me to see them in this kind of position. Just like it hurts me to see people in African dying of malnutrition and Woman and Afghanistan and those other countries being raped by their husbands.

I'm an advocate for anything that I consider non-moral or non-ethical. The mistreatment of humans based on the details of how they want to live their lives in a peacefull manner is what I fight for.
