Well here you have it folks....

No matter how bad it gets, no matter how many of us lose our jobs, can't afford food or gas, the democrats are going to move ahead with their agenda..

How much more proof does the American people need that these people do not care about us at all?

Just like the Cap and Trade, while not necessarily a bad idea, it is all about timing. This economy does NOT need higher taxes for goodness sake!!!

If you are single and don't have a lot of kids to claim when you file income tax you end up paying for these other peoples kids care anyway. So...great...my taxes are going to go up more?!
I resent payng taxes while my neighbor who decided to have all these kids gets tax breaks, food stamps, etc. on the taxpayers dime. They end up not paying any tax AND getting a tax refund AND get free food, etc.!
Is that almost "socialist" having to take care of these citizens who made a choice to have all these kids they undoubtedly could not afford to take care of?
I see no problem paying to help older citizens or some who just can't make a living, such as disabled citizens.

Your absolutely correct in saying that they do not care about us at all. It is a systematic process of destruction to bring about the NWO.

I was on the edge with this one for a while, but the more I read and see, believing that these people are innocently doing what they think will best help the American people is not something that I can do anymore.

Bringing out the NWO is not going to be easy, and I do not see how it can be done without the people of this country seeing what they did and what they are doing without rising up and saying enough is enough...

But hopefully I am wrong and there just a bunch of corrupt idiots...

Atlas Shrugged is playing out in real life it seems. Sure it doesn't seem like that much on an increase, but it is the fact that taxes are getting increased on a certain segment of the population, which if I'm not mistaken is unconstitutional.

Looks like the Dem's are moving full steam ahead on their agenda of punishing the successful and rewarding the failures.

This is only going to make all of suffer more. When the people making decent money decide to cut back it is going to throw the market into a frenzy. Not the stock market but the goods and services market. :shk:

OH Jesus save us with Rand references...

I will remind YOU HTBMTL... Dwight Eisenhower (R) passed a tax on the 1% that was 90%

90%

In the context of history you are blowing this WELL out of orbit...

There are a lot of things different between the 50's and 2000's. A lot of things. Learn Something

Instead of just spouting off ignorance why don't you actually do some research. After the past 8 years that are a lot of people that are PO'd.

Why don't you tell me what I am missing...

And please again tell me what I am ignoring, I may mash my words but I NEVER mask intent.

Ya I am pissed off myself...

My point was why is it that the ATLAS will shrug now? especially when considering that wealth is so much more concentrated and taxes lower for the ELITE earners than it was 40 -50 years ago. They also got a Trillion in tax cut in the last decade and they still have their off shore havens.
Statistically speaking the EARNERS did much better on whole then any other portion of American society.

SO what is the meat of your statement, did I miss it?

Actually that was kind of my point, HTBMTL made it sound as if the EARNERS
were going to extinguished from existence.

I would say the scale of wealth and power has been consolidated considerably, so I would say, yes it is hardly comparable.

Only $540 billion? Wonder if Obama is going to live up to his "not one dime" promise to those making under $250,000 / annually?

How much is a pack of cigs now?

Glad I quit when I did.

The fact that the people you think this is going to effect are the super rich. That is not the people this tax is targeting. Like small business owners, for one. The people that spent years and years building a business, that are already struggling in a tough economy.

You keep getting confused the "rich" and the top .01% of the "rich" big difference. A Million dollars today is not that much money when you take into account inflation and all that.

It's still a lot of money but for somebody that lives in LA a million dollar income is a comfortable living when housing prices at their peak was about 900,000 for a small two bedroom one bath house in LA. Then you take that into NY where an apartment cost 500,000 and cost of living is higher a million dollar income or even 350,000 dollar income is not that much money. In those cities.

That is where most of these people that make that kind of income reside is in bigger cities where the cost of living is much much higher. Then in 1950 most of the population was middle class, today middle class is shrinking by an astonishing rate.

Then you figure that these small business owners that would be willing to take a pay cut to keep more people employed what incentive do they now have to cut their own pay and keep people employed when the government is going to take more of that money away that they could spend on salaries.

Then remember that the Bush tax cuts are going to expire next year which means the top income tax bracket will be 40% t 43% with this tax increase, depending on income.

Then you have to remember we are in the age of the bailout where the government has just given the banks CEO's have just raped and pillaged the taxpayer.

So why should these everyday common people that happen to start a successful business get a tax increase when the government has proven that they can't spend the money they have now wisely.

That is what is so different between now and the 50's. Also did you notice in that chart that Roosevelt raised taxes on the top earners during the depression?

Then you also have to take into account the fact cost of living and wages were apportionment to each other, now it isn't.

People need to start thinking and realize that there is a difference between the people that make a lot of money a year because they started their own businesses, and the very very top .01% of the population where a disapportionment amount of the wealth is concentrated.

Also most of the wealth today is on nothing but paper and trillions have just gotten wiped out.

unlimited bailouts, insane tax increases...

This is how they control the people daily. They solve the basic problems of food, clothing & shelter by providing you with jobs. Every two weeks they pay you in debt notes & within ten days you have given it all back. You don't even know it's not real money & that the nations are all under bankruptcy & everything is prepaid. You are so conditioned you can't believe it, you deny it & you continue to go along with the corporate central bank tax scam. That leaves you free to solve more pressing problems like cash or charge, wine or beer, window or aisle, smoking or non, Oprah or American Idol Worship. You work all day in a corporate sweat shop. You pay taxes to the corporation of [your country name] then you watch Corporate news scare you to death with terror, murder, rape & corruption. You watch some sitcom Friends lie & cheat on each other for a laugh then you finish off the evening by witnessing some Criminal Minds plot & commit murder

When they present any problem like 9/11 (Shortly before his untimely death, former British Foreign Secretary Robin Cook told the House of Commons that "Al Qaeda" is not really a terrorist group but a database of international mujaheddin & arms smugglers used by the CIA & Saudis to funnel guerrillas arms & money into Soviet-occupied Afghanistan Courtesy of World Affairs) they offer the solution, war on terror, loss of freedom. Housing bubble, economic collapse, bailout tax theft. Swine flu, imminent death, forget about torture & the economy, hate foreigners & take the poison vaccines bought by tax dollars. They attack from above & below. They create the problems & offer the solutions, usually a choice between two evils, one lesser than the other. The same as the coming choice between Corrupt UN control of a global government or corrupt corporate control of the global government. You're getting one world government & it's going to be a tyranny, you just get to choose which one. Inevitably it's the same owners at the top

In the secret societies & the inner circles of organized religion like the Vatican, Masons, Shrines, New Age Theosophy & Secular Humanism the Hidden God is Lucifer, the light bringer, the builder, the Architect. He creates nothing, he works with what is here or so their teachings go. They venerate the intellect. The illuminated ones consider themselves to be our benevolent God-men, leaders, rulers and decision makers. They get to decide who lives and dies

The CIA Fakes is a catchphrase term used to describe a group which includes:
-Covert Operatives of the CIA, NSA and DIA; of the U.S. Corporate/Military Industrial Complex; of the intelligence services of U.K. Spain, France Holland, Germany, & Russia
-Political Agents working within the Democratic Party, Republican Party, Democratic Black Caucus, Green Party, & Patriot Movement
-Politicians in the U.S., U.K. Spain, France, Germany and Russia -- who pose as 9/11 skeptics & Conspiracy theorists
-Media, including Mainstream, Alternative Media and Internet broadcasting media who either front for, cooperate with, or are directly employed by intelligence services mentioned above

The primary objectives of the CIA FAKES are:
-To leverage the Fakes into position as the leadership/spokespersons for the Conspiracy movement
-To splinter and divide that movement
-To promote lame, tame and/or booby-trapped questions about Conspiracy
-To be sufficiently over-the-top as to prevent the Conspiracy issue getting any traction in the media or left-wing
-To ensure that the movement would not have a politically-active leadership capable of turning it into an effective political lobby campaign

The questions about 9/11 were bound to be asked, the important aspect for the perpetrators was & is ...by whom?

Here's a quote from an article on the UK Guardian: "The Chinese government, employs an estimated 30,000 internet police, as part of a long-standing policy to control the web." Think the ideology & practice of the USA would be any different? Of course not. Just well cloaked under a veneer of free expression

Turn off the tell lie vision. If you think it enriches your life, provides crucial information, is a socially acceptable pastime & will deliver you & your family to Utopia you may be too far gone already. Fakery TV is how they can control entire populations in their corporate debt slave central bank income tax pyramid scam. The world is nothing but a bunch of corporate slave colonies

Politics is irrelevant, stop validating it by participating. Create a new artifact, design something, an open communicative cooperative community of planet earth

That just proves you never read Atlas Shrugged. In that book the top earners were not wiped out, they just simply quit working their high paying jobs and went back menial normal paying jobs. They made a personal decision to quit making all that money when it was all going to the government and robber barons.

Thats more like it, star for you...

My problem is that I BELIEVE the people who hold a massive portion of our economy
should receive a higher burden, successful people I know often refer to it as the "burden of success".

It is a shame that small business will be caught up in this...

I also believe the FED should be shut down, havens need to be closed, Nafta needs to be over turned, out sourcing needs to be halted/taxed accordingly...

One issue that could make a huge impact is HEALTHCARE, it is running small business
down and it is essentially controlled by the industry. We pay twice as much for the
same or sub care as other nations. However it seems RIGHT minded folks do not want to tackle the issue with anything outside lowering taxes or further industry control, which is my impression.

In totality the hands off, no interference stance will only further deepen corporate abuse. As I see it corporate influence is what undermines the government, I would rather control the root of the problem then relinquish control of my share of individual democratic initiated power. It is not the taxes that bite me, it is the bills which are less for less for more.

I remind you that these current circumstances are FIRST the effect of big business's action... In the end I do not see a solution in economically favoring the entities who are tainting government. Bush's tax cuts have also been concurrent with all of this so
shouldn't we have seen an influx of prosperity provided top down economics is viable?
No we haven't, we see them get further entrenched, bailed out because letting these giants fail would be a one stop trip to depression.

I will say that if you give the burden to those who ALWAYS spend every dime they have every month you will see that money filter up as it always does. Eventually pooling in the same place but providing plenty of commerce along the way.

US lawmakers reject tax to pay for health reform

Sun Jul 12, 2009 3:53pm EDT

WASHINGTON, July 12 (Reuters) - U.S. lawmakers on Sunday criticized a plan to raise taxes on the wealthy to pay for a $1 trillion healthcare overhaul and warned Congress was unlikely to meet President Barack Obama's goal of passing the measure by August.

Republican Senator Judd Gregg said finishing a healthcare bill by Congress' August recess was "highly unlikely" because the Senate Finance Committee had not yet completed a draft. Senator John Kyl, the Republican whip, said there was "no chance" it would be done before the break.

Already states has been gouging the tax payer because budgets problems.

This will indeed bring more stress on the nations working force or at least the one left.

I say lets get the pitchforks and torches and start marching into the nest of corruption call congress.

I think we have been pushed far enough.

Wow!

Representative Charlie Rangel, head of the House Ways and Means Committee, said the bill would include a tax on Americans earning more than $350,000 per year that would raise $540 billion over 10 years. The tax would begin in 2011 and have higher rates at the $500,000 and $1 million income levels.

Representative Eric Cantor, the second-ranking Republican in the House, told the "Fox News Sunday" program Rangel's bill included an "incredible half a trillion dollar tax on folks making over $200,000 a year."

Somebody please give Rangel a reality pill! This would make small business in America collapse, and skyrocket unemployment numbers. If you think 10% is bad, think about 20% to 30% unemployment if his 'plan' is initiated.
