Weird creature found of coast in algeria... is it a ray??

ok i was looking around as i was bored and found this video on the following site
weird sea creature caught in algeria

was wondering if it was some sort of ray?? it kinda freaky though

It's simply a ray lying on it's back, that's all.Nothing particuarly strange about it i'm afraid.

Yup, it's a manta ray I think. They often have features that we see as human-like. This'll be the only time in my life I use the Daily Mail as a source...it's just for an example...Wh o are you calling fish-face?!

That i have seen before, but it looks like something in Australia we would call a shovelnose ray.

here is the mouth

But there are many different species of this ray so it could be different from the one in the pic.

Edit to add, thats not a manta ray, totally different species.

I believe this is an Atlantic Guitarfish.

Not a particularly rare member of the order rajiformes.
