really, it was calculated that amount of power needed to tako over the signal would be enormous and that there is no way that a few people could pull it as a hoax...

I admittedly haven't done a ton of research into this kind of thing, but the statement that it would be 'impossible' for small group to pull this off seems highly dubious to me, especially considering the max headroom broadcast interrupt incident from (i think) the 80's. Unless you think that was aliens too

The real deciding factor for me is that if a powerful alien entity had an important message to deliver to humanity, it would've delivered it to more than a few thousand people, and in a much more convincing manner, i'd think..
