The Arab League or The League of Arab States is an organization of 22 countries all of which are located close to or near the Southwest Asia as well
as North and Northeast Africa. The League was originally formed in 1945 at which part it only had six known members; they were Egypt, Iraq,
Transjordan(modern day Jordan), Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and Syria. The league was set up on the 22nd of March, on the 5th of May the same year Yemen
joined. The Arab league are known through out the world for being involved in local and world politics, economic, cultural, and social programs. They
are known to act as a buffer between countries trying to sort out there differences and help the countries involved by trying to stop conflict, they
made an attempt and helped in the reduction of military action in the 1958 crisis of Lebanon. They have also been active in some key documents and
proposals such as the Joint Arab Economic Action Charter which sets out the principles for economic activities in the region.
The League gives each country one ember of state which has one vote in the council, all matters of which importance are always voted upon by every
member of the council, no exceptions can be made. The aims of the league in 1945 were to strengthen and coordinate the political, cultural, economic,
and social programs of its members. In 1950 they decided to make an attempt of peace between them all for good and made the Joint Defense Agreement
which has set them in stone to make complete co-operation and coordination of there defense forces.
