On MSN this morning, there is a link to a news story about California's San Andreas fault :MSN.com
When you get to the story, the title is : San Andreas fault gives off mysterious tremors.

So, the tremors are ' odd ' and ' mysterious ' ?

While this is an interesting story for those interested in siesmology ( and hopefully California residents )... I myself am more interested in semantics, propaganda, and fear-mongering by the media and others.

Scientific contributers to the above article never use the words ' odd ' or ' mysterious ' anywhere... so - what gives ?

The other day, a ( supposed ) astronomer compared a solar flare to ' hundreds of thousands of hydrogen bombs ' .

Am I supposed to be scared ?
