Eh...this is the most confusing case, on one hand, she could have been trying to run over what she percieved as criminals, not law enforcement officers.

On the other hand she could have been a crazed druggie.

It's better to not worry about trivial problems with the messed up crime world, and just make sure our Constitution is never forgotten...and to stop congress and the presidency from sh.itting on it.

It says that they fired two more rounds when she tried to back up and get away.

The officers intent was to stop them. But how were they trying to stop them...stand in front and shoot them. Of course then they flee and try to get away. 2 more rounds are fired.

Sounds classic to an officers misinterpretation of what was unfolding before them. They jumped the gun.

So are you saying that this life mattered not so long as the constitution stays intact? Seems the contitution was trampled by JKF, LBJ, Nixon, Reagan, Clinton and Bush II long before this happened.

This day and age the police fear for their own lives. They never know when someone is going to pull out an automatic weapon etc. They almost have to be trigger happy to save their own lives, especially when dealing with drug cases. Some police in America probably see more combat than most soldiers.
It's a shame, but that seems to be a fact of life in the US.

F*cking government officials, they all suck; well some of them at least, i can't say all. So then why did the dea agent fire two more shots when she was trying to back up, doesn't make sense.

Seeing how this wasnt the suspect, they(the victims) must have thought the plain clothed officers were trying to rob them. Of cource they would have tried to get away.

but if I'm in a car, and a bunch of guys are aiming a gun at me...I'm going to throw my hands up, get out of the car, and they can have whatever they want... I can always get another car, wallet, etc., but my life can't be so easily replaced. Most 14 year olds aren't exactly licensed drivers.... In any case, a normal 14 year old probably isn't used to gunning down people with guns drawn, so it sounds to me like the kid was a con... You can't expect to drive a car at someone with a gun drawn, and not think they'll shoot. While not the suspect they were looking for, no doubt this kid is trouble,...

Hum, I remember another story. 2 teenagers ( 16 & 15 years old ), were driving a car. The same thing happened, but the police officers didn't shoot them.

Now, one of these police officer is dead. He had a familly, a wife and 2 childrens. There is now a widow and 2 orphants !

Eer, James, look...it's not easy to say, but...the first time that I drove a car, I was 14 years old. It was night, my parents were sleeping and I " took " my mother car. I drove 2 miles and I went back at home.

Fortunately, nothing happened !

The next day,I told it to my brother ( I was soooo proud of me ), who told it to my mother,who told it to my father and my father kicked my (censored by ATS).

I didn't take it anymore.

Still, good job for your parents. They taught you not to take the car.

Love those movies. Eight guys with machine guns can't hit. They pull out a gun with seven bullets and kill everyone. Or the bad guys shoot at the good guys in car chase and shoot every window but don't hit them yet the bad guys shoot once and whole car blows up.

And good point NC, could be they are cracking down on the laws. And not a oops, they drove towards them, they shot at them to kep them from doing so, then shot them to keep them from running and causeing a chase and threatning the lives of other drivers and pedestirains.(sp?)

In my country,it's 18. You can learn to drive when you are 17 years old, but ONLY with an adult,ONLY during the daylight ( between 06:00 pm and 07:00 am, you can't drive ), and you'll have your driving (killing ? ) license at 18 years old.

P.S : Yes, good job for my parents ! I never tryed to take their car again.

You can get a permit at 15 (must drive with a licensed adult, and during daylight hours), and then a full license at 16. (Just an FYI for UP)

First, Beef got banned for saying someone was a moron. Figure out what I am implying.

Second, the girl was trying to run them over at first, when they started shooting she tried to flea, which could bring harm to pedestrians and involve a chase which could get a cop or what ever killed. They stopped that by killing the girl. Sure, it wasn't the suspect, but it isn't like DEA shot first then said we the DEA. They said DEA stop, then when the girl tried to run them over they fired.

Who gives a flying # about those DEA agents????!!!
