Regardless of all its faults, academia represents one of the greatest opportunities anyone will ever get and is far greater than many will ever get.
Well said GP. And these days MA's are a dime a dozen and Ph d's are working as stock boys.
And while we're spreading scorn on Academia; how about the perpetual men students, piling degree upon worthless degree to avoid the grind and preying on cute coeds. I plead guilty on that one.
