Altimar is a planet that is supposed to orbit a red dwarf in the Barnard's Star neighborhood. Barnard’s Star is approximately between 6 and 7 light years from Earth. The idea of this planet and the star visitors from it was introduced by Dr. Richard Boylan in 2007.

Dr. Boylan is a Ph.D. behavioral scientist, anthropologist, university associate professor (emeritus), certified clinical hypnotherapist, consultant, and researcher.

The Star Visitors

In June of 2007, Dr. Boylan announced that in response to human beings declaring that we welcome Star Visitors coming among us, that the Star Nations decided to send a small group of 12 Visitors. Dr. Boylan claimed that these visitors were from a planet called Altimar.

According to Dr. Boylan, the scientists were to come to earth to help with the restoration of the environment. Supposedly they were all highly advanced environmental scientists. Each were experts in their fields, and had the equivalent education of an Earth Ph.D.

Altimarians

Dr. Boylan asserted that the Altimarians were hybrids. He claimed they had basic Altimarian genomes, but agreed to have enough human genes spliced in to give them lungs and other attributes to allow them to come to Earth. However, since our sun is much brighter than theirs, they would spend most of their time indoors, or working at night.

The group of Altimarians supposedly took on human names during their visit. Chris, Oman, Fred, Fred, Alvin, Luke, Mada, Sam, Alfred, Tom, Amanda, and Gene were the names chosen. Dr. Boylan said there were two Fred's because the Altimarians truly loved that name.
