I am trying to EXPLAIN the scientific method TO you, and you are RESISTING.

We have already OBSERVED some form of energy coming from this "Chi Master"

The energy Exists, We already know that.

What CAUSES this energy, on the other hand, we DON'T know.


This means that *YOU* don't know either.


We all LACK knowledge of what it IS.


So, since you have NOT done any scientific experiments, and NOONE else HAS...

IT is not only Irresponsible to say that it is *NOT* Chi energy, it is Dishonest.

Because You are claiming to posses knowledge that you DO NOT HAVE.


You Do not KNOW whether it is "Chi" energy or not, You have not done ONE test.


IS it suspicious that he does not submit himself to Scientific Testing?

We get PROOF from TESTS, not baseless speculation.

Can't the same be said for anyone saying IT IS Chi energy? We can use your same argument of lack of testing against you as well. YOU DO NOT know if it exist or not either. There IS NO physical proof it does so therefore the argument IT SHOULD be tested is brought forth. To call it Chi Energy is equally irresponsible.

Where has it been demonstrated in a controled environment with qualified witnesses where it could not be faked. Some people believe phsycic surgery is real even though how it is done has been demonstrated over and over again.

Wanting something to be true, does not make it so.

If this guy is for real, he needs to submit himself to be tested. Why? So we can measure what is going on, and make sure he's not TRICKING people.

Yes, that is my entire point.

We lack KNOWLEDGE of what this energy is.

Therefore, it is irresponsible to claim to HAVE knowledge one way or another.


I am not saying that it *IS* chi energy, I am saying that we CANNOT say, that it is NOT chi energy.

We cannot discount ANY explanation, because we have done NO testing to conclusively prove one way or another.

Very true but it fall on deaf ears. It is not a matter of information they have it is a matter of perspective. They believe themselves to be bastions of truth when they cant even look at themselves to see that they are just as bad as organised religious people. Their idea of logic is not actual logic, their thought patterns dont make sense and see the world in little compartments that will never bring about any universal truths. Their egos have them.

Apparently "Chi Energy" is exactly like "The Force" in Star Wars.

"Chi Energy" can raise the temperature of objects

It can break the known laws of physics by changing a persons weight without reducing mass.

It can create an invisible "field" or telepathic manipulation of objects.

Sounds pretty amazing.

But the people who are able to do these things use it ....to....entertain tourists...for....money?

There are a lot of martial artists and illusionsists who can do tricks and use skills that look like qi is being used. I covered this in an earlier post and nobody who doesant believe in qi has attempted to answer any of the questions posed.

Any large exertion of qi is dangerous and breaking concentration can easily lead to death. It is not performed for laughs. Heard about the Tibetan monks? They can apparently make themselves light and run in excess of fifty miles per hour. If you take pictures they will loose concentration and die.

Think about why indiginous tribes, when seeing cameras in use thought that they "steal the soul". These ideas do not spring up out of sheer ignorance. Like mirrors ( notice how the Chinese use mirrors to ward off evil and other cultures use them to see past lives, or if you break one you get 7 years bad luck ) they affect the light and subtle energy forces in the area.

I am technically a scientist (chemist). I am also a believer, and I believe eyewitness testimony is pretty strong evidence.

I have witnessed chi in action. You can read my earlier post for my experience. I will also relate another personal story.

Several years ago I was seriously burned. I have skin grafts over 23% of my body. One particular area (my elbo) would not heal; it was regrafted several times. I happened to be researching alternative medicine about a year after the burn for a speech I was giving. An acupuncturist offered to heal my elbow for free! I called my surgeon, and he encouraged me to give it a try. "Surrounding the Dragon" was performed on my elbow with electrical stimulus crossing over the raw area. The practitioner told me this would stimulate the "chi" in that area and encourage healing.

The rawness was gone within a week, and it was completely healed within a month! That was after repeated attempts through traditional medicine. My surgeon and therapist were thrilled, and they promised to relate my story to their other patients.

I do strongly care if you believe me or not. I don't care what your opinion of the believers is, but I care that something like acupuncture, or massage, or herbal medicine could make you feel better!

Please look up how acupuncture is used to treat appendicitis. It was even used on a president's wife!

Faith has absolutely nothing to do with rationality or Science. The person who answers this question truthfully has just jumped off the cliff and challenged their own beliefs to the very core and foundation.

Why won't he submit to controlled testing? If this power exists and this guy is a Master, wouldn't he want to teach this ability to as many people as possible to help mankind...........I'm calling HOAX and simple trickery.....that is something that the ancient Chinese are famous for.......back to my seal testicle tea......
