as an off shoot of the music threads,I came up with my own with movies.

If you could only take one movie with you to your safe place, giving that you would be able to watch it,what would it be?

So what flick and why?

Mine would be the timeless classic,The African Queen..
I absolutely enjoy watching Humphrey in that..Reminds me of my parents how they get along..

Papillion starring Steve McQueen, and Dustin Hoffman.

It is a true story and a very powerful study of survival.

For me it would have to be 'It's a wonderful life'

If you have seen the film, then you know why it needs no explanation.

I could have chosen from many of the vidoes but I thought this one was appropriate.
All could be total crap city but still being alive,it would still be a beautiful day.

That's a tough question. I am an avid movie buff, I would probably get shot because I was running to slow not paying attention due to carrying a duffel bag full of dvd's.

But it I had to pick one it would be Blade Runner....no, Apocalypse Now.....wait THX 1138....

Okay, Apocalypse Now final answer!
That movie just gives me warm fuzzy feelings. Don't know why but it does.

Tough question man. (but) If there had to be just one......aw man.
I gotta go with Cinema Paradiso. I will NEVER ever get sick of watching it.
A masterpiece that, truly, I can relate to in my life. I'm also from Italy...
Ennio Morrichione's music theme is amazing in this film.
So yeah....Cinema Paradiso.

Now dont laugh, but "The Notebook." I LOVE that movie. It makes me feel all emotions throughout it. I watched it after two break ups (literally the next day) and my friends thought I was insane. It made me cry of course but it gives me hope for true long lasting love and happiness....Yes I am a hopeless romantic! IDK this movie just makes me happy when I watch it no matter what emotion I may be feeling at the time.

My FAVORITE scene of the movie!

Rambo: First Blood would be a good one, it's my fav Rambo, and it'll teach you how to catch some food.
Just stay away from those pesky policemen, the badges get stuck in your teeth.

I would have to say The Good Earth. Screenplay taken from the book by Pearl Buck. It was an early 50's or late 40's movie and right now I can't remember who starred in it. I love that movie.

I would have to go with my all time favorite.

This film also contains one of my favorite lines from a movie.

IMO it would be an appropriate comment to make to the majority of our impeccable elected officials.
