But are you really that stupid to?
The powers that be obviously think so.

North Korea has to be the most shut off country on this planet.There capability to mount an attack as is stated is laughable.

For the last five years, one of the enduring questions among computer security people was, "where are the mysterious, elite North Korean hackers?" For nearly two decades, the South Korean media has been reporting on the cyberwar capabilities of North Korea. All of this revolves around activity at Mirim College, a North Korean school that, since the early 1990s, has been training, for want of a better term, computer hackers. The story, as leaked by South Korean intelligence organizations, was that a hundred cyberwar experts were graduated from Mirim College each year. North Korea is supposed to have, at present, a cyberwar unit of nearly a thousand skilled hackers and Internet technicians. South Korean intelligence believes the North Korean have a unit of at least a hundred very good hackers who have been ordered to scout out the South Korean government and military networks.

Everything that comes out or into that country is watched like a hawk.

Anything spotted,you can bet that a shutdown would happen very quickly.
Unless its timing fits suitably to some other agenda.

Oh, I agree but I also know there are some pretty savvy Chinese and Russia techies that have no reservations on assisting Lyle Kim in garnering any advantage.

This might have been just a trial attack to see if they could actually do it, but it is also pretty stupid to show your cards. Granted, this might be a shot above the bow to show that they can disrupt US technology even though this did absolutely nothing to hamper military operations.

Okay thanks for that.Different source though.

Also some people do wake up a little later than others.
Gives them a chance to see it,in case the other one gets buried.

And Saddam was supposed to have WMDs. When the West inevitably invades NK and finds that they are on BBC Microcomputers with 28.8k modems, people will ask "where are the elite cyberhackers, Mr President?" and he will have no solid answer, once again.

I'd say China are at it on a daily basis in attacks on the US,UK and other countries.
Though none of our countries do it,Oh no no no.

They would have been "liberated" eons ago had they possessed a large oil reserve or some such thing.
