This song can always make me feel better when I'm in a bad mood. It has no lyrics but it speaks to me.

One?

lol - I had a hard enough time posting three on the other thread! (You know the one I mean)!

One... Hmmm...

Too tough for me, but, if you asked me today? It would have to be...

I'll be back daily to change it I'm sure - if not hourly!

There is only one clear answer to this

It's an instrumental and it's long... but if you really listen and listen all the way through, it's an amazing piece of music... truly is.

I like almost everything that everyone posted... but one song would be hard to narrow down since my music changes with my moods. I would say that when I come here to ponder, I do tend to get a bit riled up... so, my one song for ATS is Rise Against "Behind Closed Doors". Anxious to see this thread grow. Cheers.

Wow - some great pieces of music there.

For me there are are depending on what mood im in but this piece by muses rapt gets me every time.

He wrote this while unmdergoing chemo for leukemia and it really shows what the guy was going through and so is full of emotion and hope.

Its electronic so may seem a strange choice but listen through and you will see what i mean. Also it sounds like dolphins crying at 3-30 which is both beautiful & sad at the same time - good psychedelic art too.

Would probably be Run by Collective Soul

It's relaxing yet puts me in the thinking and wondering mood. It also reminds me of the moments that have passed and of my earlier years of mischief and love, yet still can be entirely applied to my current life. Best song ever!

If not that it would be Big Machine by Goo Goo Dolls or Motorcycle Drive By by Third Eye Blind.

I don't like styles of music, i like music that touches me.
For me it goes from classical to rock to elektro and everything in between.

I hope you enjoy this real person.

Right now,

TOOL, Passive.

It helps keep me self motivated to keep on. I want to die with as few regrets or missed opportunities as possible.

On other days.
ColdPlay, Green Eyes.

I sang this song to my wife (then girlfriend) while I was making homemade chinese food and she was sitting on the kitchen counter with her legs pulled in tight, in her boxers and my T-shirt looking at me like I was the greatest thing to happen since sliced bread.
Keeps me from forgeting why I love her so much.

Hard to pick just one but Starry Starry Night by Don McLean has always been a favorite. There is so much music that has been a part of my life, cause I am pretty old, and I can remember doing certain things when certain music was popular. Sometimes I feel like I lived the music and those are my favorite songs, I guess they bring out the deepest emotions.

My one song is "The Night" by Disturbed because I am just now taking the steps to be an independant person later in life and "The Night" asks the question "Are you gonna remain a slave for the rest of your life?". Anytime I feel like giving up I think of that line and get motivated again.
