'Fraid my 3 would consist of the following

Evanessence - Cloud Nine ( for the line - If I fall , then all is lost )
Kim Wilde - You keep me hanging on ( I like it more than the original)
Republica - Ready to go ( for obvious reasons.)

A pretty obscure selection but hey I'm an eighties man, what do I know about music?

Ok, so commenting on the other movies in which a person has to be alone...The Castaway of course is one of them. Tom Hank had a ball as a friend. Come on, we all know that movie. There are also a couple books. One is Hatchet, and the other is the Cay. They all depict surivival and how the sanity level changes while all alone. Being alone can have a very negative effect on a human. Human beings are social animals.

Ok, so my 3 songs would be...

The Pakalolo song. It's a song from Hawaii, and it really brings back memories of hanging with good friends when I listen to it. It is not for download anywhere online, its just a local song.

Next song..

Stickerbrush symphony from Donkey Kong Country for SNES. A beautiful melody that you can listen to on Youtube. Just look for it. You will understand why i picked this song when you hear that glorious beat.

Last song..

for my last song, I would want a reccomendation from a fellow ATSer.

So there ya go.

Well if it's only 3 ....I'd have to pick an inspirational song, a fun song and my all time favourite...so...

Inspirational- I downloaded some songs the other night randomly and came across a great ballad by Linkin Park called From the Inside Out. Gorgeous song

Fun song - Well probably Sharp Dressed Man - ZZ top. (A girls gotta have a bop along song and remain hopeful as well after all.
)

All time favourite - More than A Feeling - Boston... After 30 years I'm still not tired of it.

Great thread BTW.

Whats up? You know, that is the genre of music I mostly listen to, but I have to say i probably would not pick all three from that hard rock genre. i would need something to mix it up...

Something to keep me sane..If i were to listen to those same songs (which are basically all in the asme category) over and over again with the thought I may never see my family again, then I may just end it way too early...one of them would definitely be some sort of metal or hard rock though...especially for the instances when hard labor is in the task...like hunting, but I would try to mix something up a little more smoother for the times i am reminiscing and one a little more upbeat for the times I feel I need a lift...

Cool stuff though...
