During the interrogation of Jesus at the hands of Pontius Pilate before his crucifixion, Jesus proclaimed that "everyone on the side of truth listens to me." (John 18:37). To this, Pilate replied "What is truth?" This exchange raises the age old question of the nature of truth.

So what is truth?

My apologies for taking so long to respond to this.

Truth is a subjective idea. Logically, truth can be defined as something that an individual believes to be real. Truth on a global scale is only the definition of what the majority believe to be real. Since reality in itself is only subjective, so is what we consider to be "truth"
