I was having a talk with my girlfriend last night and she brought up that those who have committed wrongs against another will become slaves to that person for several lifetimes hence. She stated rather emphatically that she absolutely did not want to have those people follow her, slaves or not through any more lifetimes.

A little thought and the obvious solution was that she must forgive them to break that karmic bond. A slave may seem like a great thing at first but a slave is something in your charge, something for which you are responsible and accountable.
