Of course he is fair game... I just don't buy into all of the paranoia crap about him... I wonder how many people who claim that you can't find anything out about him have ever tried?

His birth certificate is posted and has been but no its a fraud.
Hawaii says he was born in Hawaii no they are lying.
Who cares what his grades in college were... they were obviously high enough for him to have become a professor.
Financing? Really its no one's business but it was probably like most of us... loans, pell grants, scholarships etc.

None of which has any bearing on him as a president unless you are paranoid... me personally I am not so I judge him not on his history, race or politics but on what he has done so far and some I like and some I dislike.

Dude, those are fringe issues which are entirely moot right now. How do you feel about the issues that are a reality. I can't even listen to Obama speak anymore without flashbacks of Bush era bull#, but that doesn't mean that people like me don't have an eye rolling fest when diehards bring up the birth certificate issue and what have you.

What about the revamped "war on terror" and the "war on drugs." FISA/Patriot Act, the 70,000 "non combat" trooops being left in Iraq and units that were pulled from Iraq being thrown back into the escalation in Afghanistan? What about the constant posturing of the "AXIS OF EVIL" and the talk of nuclear action not being "off the table." What about the bailouts? What about this healthcare fiasco? The cap and tax without any corporate regulations regarding penalty transfer to customers? What about the cigarette ordeal?

Does none of this throw red flags for you, Grover?

Like I said there are things I like so far and things I dislike... I like the auto bailout for example because it is not just a matter of one or two companies no matter how large but all of the feeder companies as well and all the associated jobs... I vehemantly disprove of the bank bailouts... them, companies like AIG and the investment houses did more than anyone else to bring this economic mess on and they should pay the price... let em fail...there were some things I agreed with bush minor about as well.

I have said repeatedly that Obama is no radical, no socialist, no manchurian candidate... he has been throughly vetted by both his party and the election commission make no mistake about that... not to mention the NSA, CIA and FBI... every candidate who runs for high office is...

The thing is everyone who gets as far as he has is allowed only so much change... the powers that be in this country would have never allowed anyone who was a serious threat to their profits and self interests to have even made it half way through the nomination process, much less win it, much less win the election if they were.

I had no illusions about Obama from the very beginning, he is a politician with all that implies both good and bad.

Every president runs from his base left or right but they all move towards the center once elected...its the only way that they can govern.

He is six months into his term...currently I think he is doing alright...ask me in a year and I might very well be damning him to hell...but my opposition will not be based on party lines or some paranoid fantasies like many on the right seem to do...it will be based on his preformance and more importantly, the results.

If he has been so thoroughly vetted, why the sealed paper trail? The man should have nothing to hide. No transcripts, no articles, no thesis etc all the way down to his Senatorial political records. Zilch, Nada, Zip We still no nothing about this man other than what was contrived for his books.

Given his history and the history of those he has associated with over the years, he would not even qualify to be hired by the same Secret Service that is sworn to protect his life. He would never make it through the screening process. Period.

Grover,

I can subscribe to a lot of that. I do believe he was by no means a bad person who was "set up," but I do believe he put himself in this position and was rallied into office by big money. If you're in office, you're appeasing a higher power and I am not talking about Jehova, or Allah as some would love to beleive. The corporate interests in this country tally trillions of dollars, and the one's who do take power into their own hands end up with a fairly common result....

How much control does a pez dispenser have?

Edit: isn't working...

You like the fact that he has politicians without any experience in the automobile market running the company? you like the fact that he is forcing the car companies to make cars we don't want and will make it so we don't have a choice but to buy them?

Do you know why the car makers made SUV's???

BECAUSE PEOPLE LIKED THEM AND THEY SOLD.
they sold even better than hybrids even during high gas prices

that is what businesses do, they sell things people want to buy.

Obama is a hack and I would love to know who his handlers are.

who tells the teleprompter what to tell obama????

Im fairly new here and Im reading a lot of posts about getting Obama out of office and saying that hes screwing up the country, but I dont get it?

People will claim that there was just as much hate for Bush as there was for Obama, but cmon Obama was just inaugurated a few months ago. Bush screwed up in a lot of ways and I mean a lot. Bush was probably most hated for the way he acted towards the War on Terrorism and sending our troops to Iraq.

What has Obama done that was as bad as that? Obama was put into office during a already screwed up time. Our economy was already in the #, he had to deal with the ending of the war, and now hes getting blamed for all the crap that was already there in the first place.

Im not an Obama lover I just want to know what he did that he deserves such hate from everybody after only 6 months of being in office.

What has he done...

1. He has bankrupted the nation
2. He has taken over industries
3. He has increased the power of liberal unions
4. He has lost millions of jobs (9.5% unemployment)
5. He has embarrassed us as a nation throughout the world
6. He is weak on foreign policy
7. He has allowed embryonic stem cell research
8. He supports late term abortion on demand
9. He is a gay rights activist
10. He has supported dictators around the world
11. He is trying to take over the health care system
12. He is trying to institute "cap and trade" that will balloon the cost of just about everything we need to buy
13. He has frustrated efforts to use clean coal
14. He has frustrated efforts to drill here for oil now
15. He has created a deficit four times the Bush deficit (total 8 years) in the first six months in office
16. He has bowed low to the King of Saudi Arabia in reverence
17. He has failed to attend any church (though he claims to be a Christian)
18. He is a closet muslim of Islam
19. He has absolutely no executive experience at all
20. He has insuilted the Queen of England and their PM

All in all, his works testify against him. That is why even the people that say they still love him do so with doubt. But what used to be an Obama love fest on the ATS has no turned into a rather deeper look into the life and actions of the man.

He is one man. We have a Congress and Senate full of Obamas. Subservient to whoever is handing over the duckets. If we want this to change, we can't focus on one person merely signing a piece of paper away, but have to be completely aware of the abuses going on in the system, inside and out.

I could not agree with you more. That is why 2010 is so important. If we the people can wrestle congress out of the hands of the neo-socialists and communist liberal elites, we can at least put a stop to Obama's further damaging of the nation. Then in 2012 we can oust him and get this nation back and repeal all of the futile laws and spending he has instituted through his cronies, the congress.

I would have let the mortgage companies modify the mark to market, let the banks that were going to fail, fail. Keep in mind - this stuff doesn't just disappear when someone goes tits up. The assets are still in place, and another, more savvy player picks up the pieces and continues.

I would have immediately cut all taxes, individual and corporate taxes to 11%. This would have surged EXISTING money into the economy, negating this disaster we have going.

I would have eliminated a couple hundred Federal subsidy programs, eliminated the Department of Education, reduced the DOE by half, eliminated the Fed and transferred responsibilities to the Department of Treasury, reduced the Departments of Housing, Agriculture, Health and Human Services, Labor, and Transportation by half.

I would have told Congress that I want a Flat Tax - no graduations, or a Fair Tax - no graduations on my desk within 60 days, and would implore the States call a Constitutional Convention to reassert the 10th Amendment, rescind the Sixteenth Amendment, and rescind the Seventeenth Amendment, whereby Senators would once again be appointed by their State Legislatures.

I would order the US Army Corps of Engineers and every military man required, to build a secure fence across our southern borders, and would require Congress to pass a law that after 30 grace period, all employees must have citizenship verified, and for every employee that is a non-citizen, the employer would be fined $25,000 for each employee, and face a mandatory sentence of 60 days in a Federal prison. All children born to illegals would not be citizens, as one illegal act does not validate another, legal act.

That would be a good, first week.

I'm voting for dooper come the next election for POTUS. Let's get him on the ballots, so it doesn't have to be a write-in!

The reason why people on the right don't like Obama is because we don't know anything about him. He kept it all secret and still is.
[edit on 6-7-2009 by Hastobemoretolife]

That is utter nonsense. Talk about toeing a line.

And no I don't toe a party line...I don't care what the talking heads on TV say...they are not my source for either news or opinion...

OHHH someone is threatening to ignore me...I shudder in my boots.

I love the double standard...you guys spout party rhetoric all the time and take me to task for it...if it weren't so pathetic it would be funny.

I stand by my statement.

I remember right after Clinton was elected in 92 Bob Dole was on TV saying that they weren't going to give him a honeymoon... the right is a bunch of sore losers and that is the gist of all the Obama hate. He could haul out a gold plated endorsed by the Supreme Court and you guys still wouldn't believe it. And the same is true with everything else about him as well... it stinks of xenophobia.

[edit on 6-7-2009 by grover]

Grover, I think you're full of bull roar!!!!

Shudder, shudder, shudder. I doubt you even own a pair of boots to shudder in.

You strike me as the type that wear sandals and love beads around your neck cruising through San Francisco and Berkeley.

And I DO NOT SPOUT THE PARTY LINE but give you what you got coming when you jump right into the TPTB's partisan 2-party arguments. That's what TPTB want, arguments about non issues, when the real arguments should pertain to two parties acting in concert to screw over the American people, as they get richer each day off our ignorance. As long a guys like you are around, I feel little hope for the future of the American people. Your just a tool, like many others. That included me many moons ago.

Grover, I hope you get what you want from Obama, because you truly deserve everything that's coming down the pipe. Kudos to you, Sir. Standing up for a man we know nothing about (other than he's from Chicago/Illinois politics) takes a lot of courage or a alot of something else. I'll let others fill in the blanks.

As far as your comment goes "I stand by my statement". You are more than welcome to do so, but lets see if you've got the cajones to take that stand when 12 trillion dollars hits the fan and the entire plan goes bust. 12 Trillion dollars is not chump change. I hope you have a lot of kids and grandkids in your future.

Look behind the curtain, GDI!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The funny part is that Obama would never pass the background checks to actually be a part of the FBI, CIA, NSA, or even to be a White House guard.

With the terrorist watch list expanding its criteria, I don't think Obama would be able to purchase a gun or fly on a plane with the past and connections he has had.

Why the obama hate ?

For me it is not quite to the point of hate as I know he is just a puppet.

But I think for some ppl it starts with him attending that church
for 20 years that preaches back liberation theology.

You know it has to be pretty messed up if black ppl even speak
out against it.

Mr. Wright and James Cone

San Fran Mayor willie brown says Wright a ticket to rwanda

CJ blair

Writer for paper speaks out against Wrights hate

Obama is NOT an imbecile.
He is doing exactly what he wants to do, and knows the full repercussions of what he is doing.

The first thing he has done is misrepresent his citizenship status. It seems quite apparent that he is not president; which means there IS NO PRESIDENT.

If you consider just the legal ramifications of domestic law, contracts, court decisions, and executive orders alone it is mind boggling. NOTHING he has done is legal. Consider just the money to buy GM. The monies were illegally spent. Who now owns GM? Thousands of lawsuits could erupt from just this one action!

Toss in the bank bailouts and you have a thousand thousand lawsuits that could be generated because it becomes like a geometric pyramid; lawsuits beget lawsuits....
A large portion of American productivity will grind to a halt to deal with these issues... much of it will NEVER recover.

Then toss in the executive orders concerning Foreign Affairs! Let's not go there.. too complicated.

So if BeHO is not president, who is president? Well obviously, there is no POTUS.
So how do we determine who becomes president?
Who is/are our leader(s) until we can make this determination?
Do you think Joe Biden is the answer? Obama and Biden were elected as a ticket. If part of the ticket is illegal the whole ticket is illegal.
John McCain and Sara Palin? If this had been dealt with BEFORE Jan 20th they clearly would be the President/Vice President. NOT so clear now.
Nancy Pelosi?

A good case for her to step in until things can be sorted out... but clearly the 2008 election process was subverted. The Speaker moves up if the President/Vice President can no longer serve.... that is not the case here. THERE IS NO PRESIDENT OR VICE PRESIDENT; and therefore it is not a case of their not being able to serve, they have NEVER served.

There is no Constitutional Law to deal with this. It was ASSUMED that the candidates would be vetted before they were elected. The Democratic Party, the Republican Party the 50 individual secretary of states, the Electoral College, and THE PRESS all failed us.
(All of these should be closely scrutinized and held to account for this catastrophe)

The only way to resolve this is with a Constitutional Convention.
Problem: When you open up the Constitution for any reason, EVERYTHING is on the table... including the Bill of RIGHTS. Opening up the Constitution in a highly politicized underhanded money/power driven era is extremely dangerous.

Consider all of this, then consider the street. The Obamiacs will be wild in the street and avoiding outright civil war is a real concern.

So just this ONE act of Obama's has turned us into a Banana Republic!

I could add about 20 more HUGE problems with Obama but this one issue seems enough to answer your question. As bad as Bush was, he did not do 1/10 the damage that Obama may have ALREADY inflicted.
And being a CONSTITUTIONAL LAWYER,
Obama knows it.

Hey fellow ATS'rs! Hows it going?
Um, I cant believe you guys aint arguing yet!

Maybe we are all finally becoming somewhat civil.
I commend us!

Sorry...got sidetracked,
I am glad we are finally waking up to the fact our
presidents are puppets, put there by
corporate, military and banking interests.
Everything in our society revolves around, and is used by these powers.

I hope it will not take more bailouts and giveaways of our kids' money
to finally convince the last remaining sheeple........good luck!
I dont mean to be snoddy but fer cripes sake if you HAVE to be
hatefull at least be it towards the RIGHT ONES.
