I think my avatar is self explanatory. But I will get a little into it.

It depicts a man who is blind to begin with (I am not really visually blind, obviously - it's metaphoric). So he can't see which way he's going, and to make it worse he has good pulling him one way, and evil pulling in another direction. The outstretched hand is on the evil side.

It's literally the story of my life: a man who is lost in life that is being pulled from both polarities. This picture will be my album cover the day I actually release one.

But yeah, that's me.

Close but it is Verbal Kint, one of my favorite characters from one of my favorite movies "The Usual Suspects." The reason I like the character, and how he applies to me, is that people can't seem to figure me out like the character in the movie. The characters think that he is not a threat and is aloof because of this appearance and over-all intelligence compared to the others. However, their initial assertions are dead wrong.

Well, if you haven't seen the "Usual Suspects," you should check it out. Kevin Spacey won an Oscar for his part. It is a crime/mystery type movie with so much more. The writing is outstanding! Although K-Pax was good movie as well.

Mine means 2 things

Firstly

I am a fan of Iron Maiden of course (this is the cover of their cd powerslaves)

secondly

I believe the title song "powerslave" speaks to mankind being a slave to power in all of its incarnations, told through the eyes of man who thought himself a god who should not have suffered death as a mortal. But even the powerful are slaves to someone or something.

Hey PowerSlave... I was curious: I grew up in the 80s and there were several dozen hair metal bands that were quite popular. What I find peculiar is that Iron Maiden far out represents any other 80s metal band when it comes to avatars. Is there some kind of ATS/Iron Maiden Fan Club? I was just curious because now I get their songs stuck in my head rather frequently.

Guess I'll go run to the hills now.
