Well, let me start this thread out by thanking you for taking the time to read my post. I'm glad you desided to deny ignorance and find out for yourself exactly who it is behind the scenes running the show. This is something I have been studying up on for a little bit of time, and am 90% certain I have figured out.
It it not one group but many groups intermingling for the best interest of themselves instead of the best interest of the people.

The Trilateral Commission.
"The Trilateral Commission is a private organization, established to foster closer cooperation between the United States, Europe and Japan. It was founded in July 1973, at the initiative of David Rockefeller; who was Chairman of the Council on Foreign Relations at that time. The Trilateral Commission is widely seen as a counterpart to the Council on Foreign Relations.[1]"

"Speaking at the Chase Manhattan International Financial Forums in London, Brussels, Montreal, and Paris, Rockefeller proposed the creation of an International Commission of Peace and Prosperity in early 1972 (which would later become the Trilateral Commission). At the 1972 Bilderberg meeting, the idea was widely accepted, but elsewhere, it got a cool reception. According to Rockefeller, the organization could "be of help to government by providing measured judgment.""

"Other founding members included Alan Greenspan and Paul Volcker, both eventually heads of the Federal Reserve System.

Funding for the group came from David Rockefeller, the Charles F. Kettering Foundation, and the Ford Foundation."

"The organization has come under much scrutiny and criticism by political activists and academics working in the social and political sciences. President Jimmy Carter appointed 26 former Commission members to senior positions in his Administration. Later it was revealed that Carter himself was a former Trilateral member. In the 1980 election, it was revealed that Carter and his two major opponents, John B. Anderson and George H. W. Bush, were also members, and the Commission became a campaign issue. Ronald Reagan supporters noted that he was not a Trilateral member, but after he was chosen as Republican nominee he chose Bush as his running mate; as president, he appointed a few Trilateral members to Cabinet positions and held a reception for the Commission in the White House in 1984. The John Birch Society believes that the Trilateral Commission is dedicated to the formation of one world government."

Now I hate citing Wikipedia as a source but it is the easiest site to source with the most information in one site.
Notice the group was started by David Rockefeller, and 2 guys which went on to head the Federal Reserve system. So the federal reserve was and is still run by the trilateral commission. Since Carter administration, most of our politicians have also been former Trilateral members, from Bush to Clinton to Obama. Not only that, most of our congress and senate now are former trilaterals. So basically, we have 80% of our politicians, including presidents, members of the same commission as the guys heading the federal reserve. No wonder the federal reserve has been granted all the power it has just recently, right?

The Trilateral Commission represents a skillful, coordinated effort to seize control and consolidate the four centers of power: political, monetary, intellectual, and ecclesiastical. All this is to be done in the interest of creating a more peaceful, more productive world community. What the Trilateralists truly intend is the creation of a worldwide economic power superior to the political governments of the nation-states involved. They believe the abundant materialism they propose to create will overwhelm existing differences. As managers and creators of the system they will rule the future.

Also, the commission was first brought up at the 1972 Bilderberg meeting. Which brings me to the second group.

The Bilderberg Group
"The Bilderberg Group, Bilderberg conference, or Bilderberg Club is an unofficial, annual, invitation-only conference of around 130 guests, most of whom are persons of influence in the fields of politics, business, and banking."

Now the Bilderberg Group has been under the microscope by many for quite some time as possibly Illuminati, and I think many are right in that thinking. Most of the people that attend the Bilderberg Conference every year are members of the Trilateral Commission and the Council on Foreign Relations. Although some attendees publicly admit they attended the meeting, many do not and go to great lengths to hide the fact they were there. Why hide something if there is nothing to hide?

The steering committee does not publish a list of attendees, though some participants have publicly discussed their attendance. Historically, attendee lists have been weighted towards politicians, bankers, and directors of large businesses.
The Bilderberg Group members claim they are not working towards one-world government, but Bilderberg founding member and, for 30 years, a steering committee member, Denis Healey has said:
"To say we were striving for a one-world government is exaggerated, but not wholly unfair. Those of us in Bilderberg felt we couldn't go on forever fighting one another for nothing and killing people and rendering millions homeless. So we felt that a single community throughout the world would be a good thing."

You read that? He basically admitted they are working towards a one world government. That's a little scary. IMHO

Third group is Council on Foreign Relations
The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) is an American nonpartisan foreign policy membership organization founded in 1921. Located at 58 East 68th Street (Park Avenue) in New York City, with an office in Washington, D.C. Some international journalists believe it to be 'the most influential foreign-policy think tank. It publishes a bi-monthly journal Foreign Affairs. It has an extensive website, featuring links to its think tank, The David Rockefeller Studies Program, a new geoeconomic center, Emmy award-winning multimedia Crisis Guides Foreign Affairs, and many other projects, publications, history, biographies of notable directors and other board members, corporate members, and press releases."

"The Council's mission is promoting understanding of foreign policy and the United States' role in the world. Meetings are convened at which government officials, global leaders and prominent members debate major foreign-policy issues. It has a think tank that employs prominent scholars in international affairs and it commissions subsequent books and reports. A central aim of the Council, it states, is to "find and nurture the next generation of foreign policy leaders." It established "Independent Task Forces" in 1995, which encourage policy debate. Comprising experts with diverse backgrounds and expertise, these task forces seek consensus in making policy recommendations on critical issues; to date, the Council has convened more than fifty times.
The internal think tank is The David Rockefeller Studies Program, which grants fellowships and whose programs are described as being integral to the goal of contributing to the ongoing debate on foreign policy; fellows in this program research and write on the most important challenges facing the United States and the world.

At the outset of the organization, founding member Elihu Root said the group's mission, epitomized in its journal Foreign Affairs, should be to "guide" American public opinion. In the early 1970s, the CFR changed the mission, saying that it wished instead to "inform" public opinion"
It's funny that Their initial mission was to guide public opinion. Which basically means they were created to sway our opinions in the favor of the Controlling elite and the governments. That kind of raises a red flag for me, because we all know of hte marketing majors from college that are used to sway public opinion towards a certain product. They tend to do a great job in getting us to drink Pepsi, or eat at Mcdonalds, etc. This is basically a government run marketing group. Meant to make you eat up anything they want to feed you. Not the best of intentions in my book.

I'm sure there are a few other groups such as the Skull and Bones society intertwining with these groups also, but I'm not certain of that just yet.

WHat are your opinions on this? Am I dead on, dead wrong, or somewhere in between?
I urge you to do your own research into these groups and come to your own conclusions, I truly believe they do not have our best interests at heart, I think they view the middle and working class as cattle, and i believe they have a socialist agenda at heart. I believe they want to set up a class system with Obama to insure their spot at the top of the food chains for many many years to come.
But I could be wrong.

good research!

is undeniable how the rockefeller have so much dirt in their hands...

but i honestly think all secret societies are made to disguise the attention.

so in that way you will never find the true people behind.

I do believe there was a first secret society and after that they only have been changing the names of this societies untill even now but the truth is all work in the same side pherphas some members are not even conscience of that and actually believe that they only work for one organization will make sense cause at the end the true purpose is control... is all about control...

i dont know if you ever seen the movie "a bug's life"? (was a 3d animation movie for kids so i dont blame you if you dont
) i was just remembering ans scene where the main villain a grasshopper, is with his minions in their hideout, so one of his servents ask him:
"why do we need for the ants to work their ass off to have ready all their food for us when we already still have tons of food for the winter?
And the villian says:
"Is not about the food, is never been about the food, is about keep them under control, scare them so much cuz if we dont push them like this they will start doing whatever they want and someday they will realize that they superior than us at 10 for 1 and we will never control them again"

i dont know if i make myself cleare but at least for me when i saw that scene maded me realize of how "power" works in simple words...

think about it they have so much money that is even stupid to count how much they have. Not even in 10 lifes they could spend it all!!!

By the way are you familiar with zeitgeist? lot of info to open eyes...

And, I believe there is much more that just a financial, and political

component...

Link below to one of favorite theories....

I forgot to post something in my thread above so i guess I'll post it down here. Remember, the groups were started mostly by Rockefeller. Below is a direct quote from David ROckefeller himself, from his memoirs

For more than a century, ideological extremists at either end of the political spectrum have seized upon well-publicized incidents to attack the Rockefeller family for the inordinate influence they claim we wield over American political and economic institutions. Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as 'internationalists' and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure - one world, if you will. If that's the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it." - David Rockefeller, Memoirs , 2002

Now since he stated in his memoirs he was working against the best interests of the United States, that kind of explains the economy crashing, the Fed reserve getting all the powers lately and many other considering most political and banking figures are parts of the Trilateral Commission and the Commission was funded and started by none other than David Rockefeller himself
