I did you the favor of looking at all six pictures from your photobucket....they are lovely photos of normal contrails, and clouds. Contrails actually are clouds, in a sense...artificially created clouds.
They do not appear regularly enough to warrant them as flight corridors...
Really? Did you know that airplanes will fly the same routes daily, and sometimes the contrails just don't form because there is not enough moisture in teh atmosphere?
...leaving me scanning the news and web to discover any other reason...
The web and the news aren't going to have reports of regularly scheduled airliner flights...try some civil aviation sources.
If they are simply contrails from planes paid for by my government...
No, mate, they are paid for by the passengers on the airplnes.
One of your photos is captioned with a question about a "dark line"...that is a shadow. Just as clouds cast shadows, so do contrails. Natural clouds rarely form in long, straight lines, but contrails do. Therefore, their shadows are long, straight lines...and the shadows won't be seen unless the angle is just right.
There are ample numbers of websites to explain this, and learn from....
