It seems to me that TPTB would like to turn self reliance into a derogatory mindset. People who can fend for themselves do not need governments. An
armed and self reliant populace (in possession of morals and ethics with an understanding of what the constitution means) are a dangerous lot indeed
for governments. Governments seek to expand power and their own sustainability. The constitution limits that.
