The real reason is the extra 22,000 dollars we both owe in public debt because of his actions over just 6 months. Wake up.

It is a big problem in the US when the economy in this nation for the last 10 years is been supported by a consumer driven one.

Consumers on a shopping spree of credit card debt and personal loans.

Now that the credit is frozen so the spending spree of the consumers in the nation.

America industrial base is almost none existent and the ones we still have left are mostly foreign owned when If Obama gets away with his cap and trade bill they will be gone for ever.

As this bill will target businesses the most and will make slave of us the rest of the nation.

America lost its wealth building with free trade and globalization.

No you did too. Because you and I have to pay with interest for all crap he sending down the pipe. Stimulus, GM, Obamacare, Stimulus 2 which is on the drawing board.

We will have to pay with higher taxes very very soon.

Yep, on the money indeed.

Only thing that could save us now would be for the world to end up in a war again. A war where the manufacturing base of the world is destroyed and we are pretty much untouched. THAT will be the only way peoples of many nations will be buying American goods again. You know, as happened post WWII...

The funny thing is all of the people complaining about the printing of money to keep the boat afloat. That act probably gave Americans another year worried about a very severe depression vs actually being in one. I personally think we should have bit the bullet last year though because now we are in for even worse doo doo. All of these dramatic changes in law indicate they are prepping themselves for what is coming. You and I will be left holding the bag and have to drag them out of their bunkers post SHTF for a proper talking to.

edit for this:
Oh, and all of those nations we bullied and stole from whilst the people were ran roughshod over by our dictator of choice. They may be donning steel toed boots for when it comes time to 'Kick em while they are down'.

Wow, I am glad they are having a splendid party while people are celebrating Independence Day on skid row somewhere. This is a poor excuse for public relations. Why haven't we seen our President actually set foot and talk to the people at the unemployment offices or tent cities and learn from them first hand about their perils. I don't know but I think he and his cabinet are further insulating themselves from the perils of America. I see no solidarity from this man or his cabinet.

It as though they are celebrating as if America is experiencing prosperous times. This man touts that he was a community organizer and sees eye to eye with the under-privileged, but acts such as these and others show that he has no clue. The Romans used a phrase called "panem et circenses," "Bread and Circuses." In essence, this phrase means that by keeping them(citizens) fed and entertained and we(Roman Imperial Government) can whatever we wish.
