Tiny New Battery Is Printable

A new battery, small and thin, weighs almost nothing and can be printed in a process similar to silk-screening shirts.

The printable battery is expected to cheap and easy to mass produce and could be used in disposable receipts or cards, engineers in Germany announced today.

The battery weighs less than 1 gram and is less than 1 millimeter thick. It runs at 1.5 volts. Placing several in a row can produce up to 6 volts

It seems battery technology is a rapidly expanding right now. It is quite interesting how they can "print" these out. I wonder if this will expand to a "print" your own battery from home type of thing??

that's pretty rad. i also heard of this machine that can print BACON.

this kinda stuff is magical.

This concerns me. Call me paranoid but this could be linked to RFID tech.

Just think, a tiny printable battery connected to a tiny transmitter. Hell, it could be embedded in your clothes.
