I disagree, that object that has colour fringing that is caused by optics.

Well spotted!

Second thoughts its a flying bus!

I would say it is more than likely another satellite at a lower orbit than where the pictures where taken. Just my opinion.

That is what I would say also, but it is certainly not a pixel or imaging problem. I would have thought so if it were some shade of the clouds, but not such an obvious shape in brown. Also if you notice all the other pixelation in the photo, it goes left to right, while this object goes top to bottom with a slight angle.

Great eyes to find this! Try to find the altitude of the orbiter that took the photo, then you can see if other space debris or satellites orbit below that.

There are many anomalies like that own to wide of the Guinea off the Africans coasts over the Atlantic Ocean. It seems a fleet! (Lat. 10°19'11"N- Long: 19°16'10"W)
But there is one indeed singular to above the Madagascar over Indian Ocean. : IT IS triangular shape and green... (Lat: 9°43' 13” S - Long: 47° 34 ' 25” E)

Very interesting S&F for sure. So i'm not too familiar with this sort of thing. Is this a regular occurance. Must not be due to the fact that people are talking about it. I dunno

Good find though.

Like everyone else said probably space junk.

But OP you have a great eye, probably something I would have never even noticed so I give you credit for the good eyes, and the ability to not be afraid to ask what something is.

Here's an interesting link that shows just exactly how much space junk is up there, with a little article and pictures, it's truly amazing how much TRASH is up there, kind of sad.

When I clicked the original from Nasa's web page to zoom, my cursor just happened to be at this location on the photo. The little brown rectangle just stared at me. btw, if you look at Flash Earth,

www.flashearth.com...
and zoom in to find this exact image, you will find several of these little rectangles, but you'll need to look today because I think the image on Flash Earth changes daily.
