I would not be so hasty on that...What I see is so much talk. See the fault for both of us is that we don't know the reality of the situation. Have I
hurt someone? physically? Yes I have and I prefer to not do it again. There is a difference between a guy breaking into my house and a revolution we
start. Bear in mind nobody broke into my house and ok yes maybe you would indeed pick up a weapon. How do I know that you actually would? I don't...I
just make my wager on an educated guess just like you did. Why would I have to hurt someone to know I don't want to hurt someone? I've never been
shot in the face by a 12-guage but I am pretty darn sure I don't want to be.
See we are here in ATS where theories run wild. What I think of them is irrelevant but obviously we have our freedom of speech and thought. The one
thing I am not crazy about is your assumption that I have alot of 'growing up' to do just because I am not in the same set of ideals as you. Who is
to say that me as someone who wishes peace isn't the evolved one and that I am ahead of you in maturity? Nobody and that is the point. You can't
simply assume I am immature because I don't share your opinion on how change should occur.
Actually...correction...yes you can assume that because you are free to do so but it sure doesn't make it right. Neither does my wager make what I
believe is right. My opinion is this country isn't as bad as some make it out to be and my opinion is that most when called to grab a weapon won't
have the nerve to shoot another. I have been Air Force for near 8 years now and it is quite true that I have never deployed to a war zone but a great
deal of that is that my job was non-deployable when I was active.
The thing is, in my opinion I think I am far more prepared to shoot than most people who talk a huge game (once again...not saying you or anyone in
specific). The reason I believe this is because I have gone through several scenarios. Some bloody and horrid and some peaceful and beautiful. I
don't think these people are wimps...not by a long shot. I do however give more praise to those who can get out and make a change with a single
bullet. I don't think it is impossible to do so and frankly I consider my lot in this country fairly good. No I certainly don't have everything and
I do look at the homeless and the unemployed with great care and compassion. I make my change on a level that I think I can change; personal. I give
money and time to help and I volunteer.
Here is another issue I have. Let's say your way does indeed work. We lose the NWO and now we are in charge. I would also wager this new leader or
set of leaders will be just as corrupt after a short while because it is part of the human condition sadly. I admi myself I amprone to selfishness. I
believe Socialism is the best idea ever...not what the Nazi's called Socialism...real Socialism. The problem is I know it would probably never work
since humans are selfish and greedy.
So we get back to the revolution. It works...many die and we the civillians win. How long until the new leaders become corrupt and since when did a
small force who wants a revolution speak for everyone else? What if we don't want your brand of government? Can we kill you next? Where does it end?
Violence may be your way but don't think me immature or incapable of reaching your level because I don't want to kill. I have seen death from
violence on my ambulance and I have caused a great deal of harm defending myself and I didn't like it. Yes I am glad I am ok but it didn't make me
feel any better and all the martial arts I learned did nothing for me because I should have talked my way out of it before the situation turned as it
did. Shame on me...and I mean that...not to make a point but to make a confession.
