Topic started on 30-6-2009 @ 07:26 PM by ModernAcademia

Unless Congress Writes a law saying the President can't write executive orders it must be okay? What?????

Anyone who is familiar with the constituion knows right away how wrong this is.

"Legal Experts" like the "Legal Experts" with Bush's torture is legal right?

This is getting ridiculous, I swear I can see the war over the horizon. Eventually people are going to start pushing back.

From what I understand, he can only dictate how the federal government operates internally with executive orders. He cannot make laws.

Congress is no longer representing the people. Executive orders cannot enact law. It appears that the people must now challenge executive orders that create law. Let's just hope that the Supreme Court is still bound by the Constitution.

This really represents more of a failure on the part of the Supreme Courts.

The protection of the framework is more their responsibility than any others.

Yet they have proven over the last century or so, that they have no intention of being the apolitical jurists we so desperately require to have any hope of real 'change' - which is to say, a chance at changing our republic - restoring it to its rightful form.

A while back someone declared economic war on the world. Little did we know it was our beloved elite, the 'celebrity' politicians and global personalities with their apparent bright smiles and ostensible quick wit.

These Justices of the Supreme Court are in fact the only people who can end this charade, foisted upon us by the biggest publicity stunt ever pulled off..., the make-believe political party system featuring the Republicans and the Democrats acting as one super-party, eclipsing any chance for a movement to establish any threat against their 'dominion' of our Federal government.

Our Legislature has utterly disregarded its mandate - basely defying popular will, even going so far as to acquiesce against agendas that diminish the national character.

This unabashed disregard for their mandate, and their calculating public manner and artifices are devastating 'social' weapons which they seem to have put to our throats..., pretty patriotic, aren't they?

do you think there is any chance the supreme court will end the charade? they seem caught up in it. our federal government is out of control and straying farther and father from the constitution. we the citizens have no power because our constitution puts it into the hands of elected officials who are, as you pointed out, members of the pretend two parties.

i am furious at the notion of these two parties. they are both implicit in the scam. they are a lie. so we appear to be stuck. we await the next election but that election is no more real than the one in iran.

Just wait for Obama to issue the executive order that decrees the Supreme Court cannot have any input on executive orders. And Congress upholds it.
