This just in - Al Franken has won the hotly contested election for Junior Senator from Minnesota. The Supreme Court has just ruled.
Big ramifications for any new Obama legislation ... it should now pass without objection.

Al Franken won the election months ago.
Norm Coleman is either a poor loser, or the RNC ("Rush" National Committee) made him protest for this long.

It will be interesting to see if the Democrats complain about the Supreme Court "appointing" someone to elected office. Probably not though.
Now, the Democrats really don't have a reason to not get stuff done. Unfortunately, they won't get the things done that the American people want.
Only what they want, and that could very well spell the end of the Democrat party. If things don't turn around, the American people won't forget
this for a long time.

Yeah really, what right do the people of Minnesota have to elect him!? Democracy is killing this nation! Norm Coleman is a true American for fighting
his loss. If only Bush was still in office too.

OMG ~ he was completely a poor loser. He didn't know when to quit this one and he did nothing but completely embarrass himself. But I don't know if
he has the common sense to know that he was embarrassing himself.
He would not concede and looked like an ass as a result.

Apparently, only to some. It wasn't clear on, or after, election day who won. In fact, the victor changed a few times! I know that if I was
running, and then, on election day, and then subsequent recounts, my opponent was demanding that votes not be counted, I wouldn't take that lightly
either.

Uh huh, just like a Fraken campaign worker that was counting votes for him. Then there was the issue that a Fraken Campaign worker "found" a trunk
full of ballots in the trunk of her car.
The courts didn't let votes get counted, etc. Whatever.

As far as Mr. Franken winning, well, good for him. Quite Frankly the democrats can 'destroy America' with or without him.

The thing is, is that they did recount them and then Norm disputed that and wanted the absentee ballots recounted again. It just went on and on and
while I agree with you in not giving up. This was on our news nightly and he just came off in the end like a poor loser. He eventually forgot why he
wanted the recounts. He just really never came to terms that the people spoke and they wanted Frankin.

i don't understand why so many people are so intent on blaming the political parties, do you not understand that its the people behind the scenes
that control the power? that hold the string and play the people like puppets?
this is exactly why they put so much on the political parties, so the people can be divided and fight over nonsense "democrats rule, it's the end of
the world"
*I'm not a democrat, I'm not a republican, i am above political parties*

As a Minnesotan, I am so proud of our Supreme Court that saw through the GOP bull-tweet that has denied this state our Senator for so long. The ruling
was 5-0!
Governor Pawlenty and the GOP have shot themselves in the foot BIG TIME with this one. I can only hope that the people of Minnesota never forget that
the voice of the people came 2nd to the GOP's need to remain viable politically through dirty tricks, lies, and back-room deals.
I am so happy and proud of Minnesota right now. We fought the GOP and won!
WELCOME SENATOR FRANKEN!!!!!

You need to come back to reality there. Sure they are two sides of the same coin, but now the dems have a filibuster proof congress. There are no
checks and balances now.
The political divides are there, especially on things like Health Care and Cap and Trade. There is not once single group that owns them all. It is
divided.

This is wonderful news. Now Democrats have no one to blame but themselves for anything. Total control of the House, total control of the Senate, and
total Control of all Executive offices.
Zero checks...... Zero Balance. It's all Democrats, Republicans can't even filibuster anymore.
This is the most exciting thing I have ever heard. To think in my lifetime I get to watch whats left of America fracture and disappear.
Then well armed libertarians can take it all back by force, and throw every Marxist/Socialist enslaver under a Moving bus.... literally.
It's not like they could stop us, most extreme leftists support gun control, and have no guns themselves. Maybe they could have a nice protest march
instead.

Good or bad, Republican or Democrat I am glad its over.
This does not mean however automatic passage of everything the Democrats pass no matter what the wrong wing claims... they are not robots they think
for themselves and the Democratic party is indeed a coalition with wide ranging views...
So no it will not be a rubber stamp congress... like bush minor had.
