So, I'm in my lower 20's.

My family has no history of this, so maybe i'm just a starter.

But my hairline is receding, my dad died in his 50's with a full head of hair, well except the back which was starting to go. My moms side, full of hair till their death.

Why on earth am I getting this widows peak!?!?

Last time I got my haircut, the lady told me that my hairline was receding, and it was quite weird?

I got my haircut today, and it's worse then it was before it is getting worse!

I look good with a bald head, so i'm not worried about that.

Just wondering really why on earth i'd start getting a widows peak so young!

Maybe stress, but I thought that caused pimples? Which I don't have.... maybe I just lose head hair.

I am not sure why you would get it early. But a lot of people in my family have lost their hair at a young age. Thankfully, I have not.

If you are worried, I would see are specialist. There are a lot of formulas and medications on the market that can grow back hair, thicken hair and prevent hair loss.

I'm not worried, but would just like an answer to why.

If i'm going bald, in my early 20's then.... that's okay, i'll just shave and keep myself bald, but if i'm lackin a certain vitamin, like Niacin, which I don't think I am, I'd start takin it.

Buddy, let me give you the best piece of advice you will ever get on this subject.

The greatest factor in hair loss is stress about hair loss.

Sometimes I hate irony so MUCH!!!

So if i'm going to stress about hair loss, it's going to make it worse.

Well i'm not going to stress about it then. I guess... I'm not worried about it, just like to see if theirs a simple answer for it. I doubt it's doctor worthy!

Yeah, I never keep my hair even remotely close to long enough to have it be able to comb over, and personally if I saw a 21 year old guy with a comb over, i'd die on the spot laughing. I'm laughing hard thinking about it!

If it gets worse, i'll just go bald.

Never in my life did I think of all the things going on, did I even begin to think what if I start to go bald!

You may just be unfortunate enough to have the recessive hair loss gene. That's gotta suck being in your early twenty's and losing your hair. My father-in-law lost his hair when he was about 22. He wore a toupee until like two years ago.

Maybe a televangelist can heal you if you give them $100, some muffins, and a brand new jet.

Did your parents have a bald milkman around your time of conception? hmm..

Does your Mother's father have a history of hair loss? If yes, there's your answer.

The hair loss gene usually comes from the Mother's side, not the father's.

1000% correct!

My hubby had a comb-over when I met him. It took me quite a while to find a sweet, helpful way to suggest a makeover. Whew! He now sports a flattering flat top which makes him look 10 years younger.

Hi,
Jumping in late, but thought I'd add some thoughts.

First, before stressing about hereditary hair loss possibility, go to your doc. and get a general physical with blood work. Make sure that you mention the hair loss concern. That will give the doc. something to keep in mind. Everyone should do that anyway, just as a general rule. Doc. runs tests on cholesterol, vitamin/min. deficiencies, etc. It's VERY possible that hair loss could be due to a lack of a vitamin or some other nutrient in the diet (especially if you're not eating or sleeping well) college right?

Then, if it turns out that all those health bases are covered and it IS determined to be hereditary hair loss... I fully agree with the others... shave it and rock the look! Confidence trumps all, I think.

There's allot you can do, most likely this is the affects of Dihydrotestosterone DHT

Genetically your either predisposed for this form of Testosterone to bind to your hair follicles or not...

It really isn't useful after your mid Twenties except to continue to promote masculine features and age you and eliminating it will have zero effects on your sex drive, libido or potency while saving you from Baldness Prostate Cancer and Ear Hair...

1: Emu Oil

Apply directly to the scalp, it works MUCH better than minoxodil or other pharma crud... it is the only thing I know of that can regrow hair from the front of the scalp in addition to halting loss

2: Saw Palmento, capsules... look online for dosage

Both will bock DHT one locally, the Emu oil which adds thickness for the scalp and replenishes the follicles as well... giving them more "dirt to sprout from) so o speak as an added bonus.

3: Black Tea

Black Tea drank several times daily will Lower DHT levels 72% while boosting ordinary ol testosterone levels 32%, double bang for your buck

4: Grape Seed Extract and Resveritrol

This combo works differently, both promote the longevity of Collagen and stimulate cellular activity which leads to faster thicker growth.... the Resveritrol will extend cell life and lessen turn over and the grape seed will push capillaries to grow in the scalp, both will prolong collagen and leave the skin healthier, very potent together

This is program I used...

In 2 years time, I went from some very thin patches and an actual bald spot in back of my head and mild recession to now....

I am regrowing my hair long because it is thick enough to actually support long hair (i'll be 40 this year) No spots, much, much thicker, complete regrowth on crown about an inch returned on front to a point where I have the side recession typical of a 25 yr old, hair is oilyish... good not brittle dry thin strands of hair, legitimate correction

only issue is ...

It's not cheep, Emu oil is 12.00 per 2 oz v about 4-5 times the price of monoxadil

The cheapest is the Tea at a couple bucks per box and that alone will dramatically slow down loss of you drink several cups per day.

The upside being tho that it it is multifaceted... as all the items are also part of my skin program and heart program and anti cancer programs respectively

If you start seeing Grey hairs btw...

Avacados... Eat them, they suck up the Hydrogen peroxide that causes greying like a sponge...

Add in a table spoon of Blackstrap Molasses when you wake up for the pigment and the Greys are as good as gone.

OOO and just to add... a void excessive masturbation, it converts Testosterone to DHT more than anything else you can do and will speed the whole process along negatively...

Try Cellular Mitochondrial activation via Pranayama to relax...

seriously, lowers cortisol levels (which is next to DHT to your biggest enemies) and activates the little energy engines in your cells.

I've always heard grass doesn't grow on a playground. The same with hair.

If you look good with a shaved head then shave it.

Shaved heads are sexy.

My 40 year old son started getting a widows peak in his 20's also. He still has plenty of hair it's just slipping back.

Shaved = Sexy

Oh I've always heard masturbation makes you blind too but that's not true.

No masturbation doesn't make you blind, but if you studied Biology you'd know that it is the single largest conversion of Testosterone to DHT the Male body can achieve. With no physical exertion of energy to burn it up (as in Sex) it roams the body eventually settling wherever it can bind, particularly to Hair Follicles. If your genetically predisposed and depending on age more than a couple of times a week WILL speed up MPB...
