I will say this though, I would rather Obama be in office than some really old guy who could die from a mild winter.

As far as I'm concerned it's still too early to tell. I don't expect things to get better, I'm not sure if they'll get worse, but so far my life is going on as normal so I don't see any problem in a purely selfish respect.

Is Obama a liar? yes. But he was always going to be the guy he is now and if his supporters didn't see that coming they're diluted. At the end of the day he's a politician, and I would hope the majority of people saw that coming.

But he has done things that I support, like closing down GITMO, which I hope is a plan that follows through. Granted, I can't really name many other things I'm fond of. But that's already more than I can recall off hand than the last guy that was in office.

I'll take the bait but very much believe that ATS in general leans far right. I still support Obama and worked hard to get him elected. I don't regret it at all. He inherited the mess of not just George W. Bush but of the last 30 years of a Republican and big business controlled Congress. Trickle down economics has been a colossal failure and free trade agreements have destroyed our middle class and demoralized the nation, and lost the trust of young people in particualar.
I think it's going to take a very long time for this country to recover. I'm very impressed with Obama's foreign relation skills and the fact that most of the world seems to love him. I think we will benefit a lot from improved relationships and alliances with countries of the EU. We can not go it alone like GWB seemed to think.

I personally think Obama is doing a hell of a job, and is really trying to fix the mess that was created over 30 years. You can't do that in 6 months. I would be surprised you can do it in 4 years.

If McCain was in office people would be complaining as well. Why, because he wouldn't have been able to fix it any better. In your minds he would have been amazing because you have yet to see him in action as a President.

But hey, if you guys hate him so much, bring him up to Canada and we will give you Harper. Trust me, then you will be bitching!

Everyone keeps going back to this is Bush's fault for the economic collapse but if we look at reality, the economic down turn didn't occur until December, 2007. Democrats took the hill Jan 4th, 2007 so those of you who continue to lay the recession on the feet of Bush (mind you, I do lay some blame on Bush for his radical spending as well) need to take a REAL hard look at the facts.

Obama is only exacerbating the situation by perpetuating the spending and escalating it to levels never seen since the last WW. The fix to this crisis is not to continue the spending nor is it to tax the life out of business or it's consumers.......Don't people get it that if we continue to raise federal taxes that we won't be creating jobs BUT LOSING JOBS!!!

Obama is NOT the "MESSIAH" !!! He's the Supreme Arrogant Narcissist! You generally judge a person by the people he keeps close to him and his mentors. In his case he has avowed Socialists and members of the Communist Party and Globalists and anti-constitutionalist. To me, that speaks volumes on whether he could or would ever fix the problems we have in this country without peeing on a majority of the citizens! So far most of the legislation and the appointment of CZARS to do the job of people who should be approved by Senate and Congress, he is not the man for the job and NEVER will be!
