Remember that 'white firefighters' ruling of Sotomayors?
She just got reversed by all 9 Supreme Court Justices.

The Supreme Court has ruled that white firefighters in New Haven, Conn., were unfairly denied promotions because of their race, reversing a decision that high court nominee Sonia Sotomayor endorsed as an appeals court judge.

"Frank Ricci finally got his day in court, despite the judging of Sonia Sotomayor, which all nine Justices of U.S. Supreme Court have now confirmed was in error.

"Usually, poor performance in any profession is not rewarded with the highest job offer in the entire profession.

"What Judge Sotomayor did in Ricci was the equivalent of a pilot error resulting in a bad plane crash. And now the pilot is being offered to fly Air Force One.

The fact that the Court’s four more liberal members would affirm the Second Circuit shows that Judge Sotomayor’s views were far from outlandish and put her in line with Judge Souter, who she will replace

SCOTUS business as usual imo, it seems that SC Justices have all now become mere puppet extensions of their respective political parties and the original vision, of an independent judiciary, has all but been lost.

The timing and nature of this 'decision' could not be more transparent.

Btw, for the record I happen to agree with the decision, I just wish these folk would use their own minds rather than those of their political masters.

The SCOTUS ruled 5-4, along ideological lines, overturning the lower court unanimous ruling.

But, not to worry - Sotomayor will have ample opportunity to ply her racist ideology when she is appointed. Obama chose the ideal candidate to reflect his outlook of America.
