This is absolutely HUGE!

Australian scientists kill cancer cells with "Trojan Horse"

SYDNEY (Reuters) - Australian scientists have developed a "trojan horse" therapy to combat cancer, using a bacterially-derived nano cell to penetrate and disarm the cancer cell before a second nano cell kills it with chemotherapy drugs.

The "trojan horse" therapy has the potential to directly target cancer cells with chemotherapy, rather than the current treatment that sees chemotherapy drugs injected into a cancer patient and attacking both cancer and healthy cells.

Sydney scientists Dr Jennifer MacDiarmid and Dr Himanshu Brahmbhatt, who formed EnGenelC Pty Ltd in 2001, said they had achieved 100 percent survival in mice with human cancer cells by using the "trojan horse" therapy in the past two years.

I know there are always cures for cancer every once in a while, but the results of this cannot be ignored. I just hope this will be trialled in humans.

Lets hope big pharma doesn't bury this!

That's why this needs to get on ATS!

Gotta agree with this guy. This will be last we hear of it, they (Pharmacy compines) will kill the people who made the cure. Or at least make it so it doesnt work and kill the peoples Characters. It happens all the time. There was a cure back in the 70's i read about in a book called "Behold a Pale Horse" Dude was killed. All I have to say is I hope this works out well.

Oreyeon, I dig your analogy "Think of the Pharma as the Pimp, and the Disease as the Whore".

It makes you wonder how many cures for cancer are out there. Someone on another thread, about another cancer cure posed the question: how many high ranking government officials have died from cancer?

Not only i agree with you, but i also have to say that by not curing diceases like this, is a way to control the number of the human population.

About the second paragraph. I truely support "Passive Euthanasia" with high doses of pain killers for that. At least, we could have a "not in pain and quick death".
