Yes, I know what you mean I started smoking last year when I got to college and I couldn't imagine not smoking everyday either although if I had to I don't see it as a problem to quit as I haven't smoked now in 2 weeks and it doesn't bother me. I have had times over the past few months where I would get a kind of feeling of what I felt in October but it was nowhere near as intense as that, but I smoked a whole bowl of hydro in one hit in a bong so it was a bit intense. I also noticed too that when I first started last year and I looked around me, everything was different. It was the same stuff going on but you just look at everything differently and I guess I got used to it because I don't see it nearly as much anymore. I think since I've become more in tune with alternative views of the world instead of just the mainstream beliefs, I've gotten more impatient and I want things to just start happening instead of following all of the information and wondering if it's going to happen tomorrow. Either way, I still feel that what everyone is waiting for is going to come for all of them no matter what the belief is. Since I haven't "picked one" of these things as what I believe is going to happen, I'm kind of curious to see what would happen if I consider the possibility that all of it is going to happen. I like thinking big when it comes to what's going on so I do have an opinion on what I think may happen, but like the rest of the things that I'm following, I haven't put my full faith in it yet. Only time will tell.

I am going to share with you the words that that I use the most frequently with my friends and family. "Happiness is not a gift; it is a creation."

No one can give you joy or happiness nor can anyone or anything "make" you angry or sad. It is a choice. Sometimes the choices are easily made and sometimes they are not, but you always have a choice.

We all have a tendency to see that which is the most familiar to us and if we are not sure of what we are seeing or hearing we morph it into something that looks, sounds and feels familiar. Often times we are wrong but we never realize we are wrong unless we are challenged and even then it has to be proven.

Try this little experiment. It worked wonders for me and maybe it will help you a little as well. For one week do not buy anything. You have to make due with what ever is available to you right now. The only exception is that you can buy gas for the car, but only if you “have” to buy it to get back and forth to work. You can not charge anything. You can not borrow anything that has to be paid back or given back. You can barter or exchange items like 3 or 4 eggs for a stick of butter. The whole goal of the experiment is to show you that your life is more than a collection of “things” and that you have more than you need and don’t even realize it.

We are so busy running around trying to grab stuff, that we don’t know what or how much we have and never get to enjoy what we do have. We are already lamenting a world that is lost while it is still here and waiting to be enjoyed. It is not burying your head in the sand to realize that some things you can change, some things you can’t. If you can’t get that yellow stain off the wall, you don‘t have to knock down the whole wall. Make the stain into a sun and paint a beautiful landscape a around it. If that won’t work, then remove the area and make a window or a doorway. Don’t be afraid to see things with a fresh set of eyes. Learning to see the world again once the scales have been removed can be a whole new adventure.

It's not only in the states people are getting like this.

I had a big shock here the other day. A good friend of mine told me he's stocking up on supplies should "DTV" (Dritten treffe vifta aka SHTF). I couldn't believe it so I took a trip on over.

Sure enough he's started building up meager supplies for him and the misses. We sat for at least three hours discussing the future, the future of Norway and the future of man kind. My friend had a bleak outlook on everything.

And this is in Norway.

He's never been the kind of guy to think farther then the next day. But since the financial crisis, he's been more and more keen on the idea of surviving should something happen. (Food shortages, the flu, running out of porn etc.)

I'm happy he's changed though.

Peace,
FK

He has good reason. When your country has built a massive underground metropolis and is still afraid that they will not have room for everyone and the rest of the world is using you country as a global food storage fault. Maybe it would be odd if he wasn't feeling a bit bleak.

Yes, the only reasonable response to the apparent quagmire, is unreasonable optimism in the face of it!

And the worse the problem, the greater the opportunity to effect change for the better, so it's perfect that it's so screwed up.

My sentiments exactly. While I feel I have the burden of the world upon my shoulder's I move forward as my vision is so clear. To those that cross my path they see someone that would destroy their world. Their world is of lies, power, and corruption. My world is truth, sovereignty, and for the good of all.

When the spoon is too long to eat the soup from the bowl we have to learn to survive by feeding each other with the spoons that we have.

I live in las vegas and the clubs are packed. the pool parties...packed....the casinos not as packed as usual, but still tons and tons of people. Smiles all the time.

in fact i met a dude that works at morgan stanley who loves his job recently...asked him how things were..said they were awesome....

i expect their to be more of a downturn, but people really need to lay off al the doom and gloom

people loosing fortunes has a tendency to drag one down. listening the propoganda from the msm also can have that affect.

other than coming on here (ats) and seeing the usual doomers that permeate this site, i have not seen any changes in the way the world seems to be.... revolving

..and it is said that Nero fiddled while Rome burned.

Ignoring the worm in the apple may give you more than a bit of extra protein.

I'm not quite sure. But i do know that in the past year or so, I have gained quite a bit of interest in things like spirituality, New Age topics, 2012, meditation, near-death experiences, etc. Even to the point where I really don't fear death, I just hope that I don't have a painful death. I can't help but wonder if God is preparing me and others for coming tribulations.

Or maybe my interest is just because an Uncle I was very close to died a little over a year ago...who knows???

I overheard a patient talking to his family and friends two days ago say the same thing. I thought it odd at the time because I have felt this way for years. Now you are saying it. I think that a lot of people are experiencing a new kind of awakening.

We are learning that this planet is not about us or even for us. We are learning that we build our own prisons. We are learning that in the long run there is no me without you.

I just wish we were faster learners.
