How exactly do the "people" control the policy and laws being implemented by the current administration?....

President Obama made promises, MOST OF WHICH HE DID NOT KEEP, and yet you want to claim the people control policy, and the laws being implemented?

I didn't think you would give me the respect of a direct answer. Way to politic.

Hmm? Climate change is real and something has to be done. I applaud to the new law restricting American greenhouse gas emissions. This is very good. Now you can join the civilized world again. Now we can save the Earth together.

To me the idea that this will result in increase of taxes is insane. What about your children and grandchildren? You want them to live in a world of ecological disaster? Complaining about taxes in a case like this is so insanely selfish and short-sighted I wonder how you manage to live withyourself.

Actually the NWO is a good idea, if USA is full of selfish people who don't care about the world. Then you will submit. I, for one, now welcome our NWO overlords. I noticed that the Americans are so selfish people I want the NWO to control you.

I gotta apply for a job as a some kind of a foreign NWO controller in USA. I will make you pay your carbon emission taxes.

finally some one who can enlighten this thread...
I find it amazing how Americans can whine about taxes and a new health care system..It doesnt have to be socialistic but it can be a little more of solidarity..ever heard of that word?
Lots of you should be ashamed! how years after Katrina people were still homeless without nothing, no home, no care, nothing!! in New Orleans in your backyard!!, but god nooo!! no more taxes, that will kill me!!
Maybe you should turn that hillbilly redneck from Austin "AJ" off and think beyond your state or union borders about the environment and the future of your children..

Something else, Climate change can not be caused by humans only, no of course not but you people just ignore whole facts about the greenhouse effect and what emissions cause that greenhouse effect..we humans only make it worse..So the whole world signed the Kyoto protocol except the US, and you tell us that Kyoto and climate change is a conspiracy of the NWO for cap and trade?
Then how come TPTB are mostly anglo-american?why didnt they signed Kyoto?

Some of you just don't understand that American political culture didn't originally have big government and high taxes involved in any way shape or form. Why are you calling us whiners, what would you have us do, start firebombing buildings and shooting politicians? You just don't understand that because our constitution and the values it represents on limited government that is making a resurgence, we don't want any part of those things we are apparently whining about. It you don't want it, you need to be vocal about it. Would you want the US government in control of your healthcare? Maybe they do it well in the Netherlands, but everything this gov. touches, they destroy or severely # up.

On a side note; I like the idea that in this country we should focus on the happenings inside our own border. We've been overly concerned with the outside world for over 50 years and it clearly isn't working our socially, economically, or politically. I think it's time we start focusing more of our thoughts inside our own border and clean our own house. I enjoy our sovereignty as well, that is something that will never be given up so easily.

Years after katrina people were still looking for handouts and a free ride instead of getting off their lazy butts, cleaning up their own yards, and going out to find a job.

Maybe you should turn that hillbilly redneck from Austin "AJ" off and ...

Maybe you should take your uneducated anti-American bigotry, as well as your pathetic stereotypes, throw them in the trash where they belong.

Did you even read what the Kyoto protocol said? No? Thought not.

OF COURSE everyone else signed it. It gave THEM a free pass while at
the same time it hammered the USA for LESS POLLUTION then what
Russia or China were putting out.

Well i am pretty rightwing, people would call me liberal which is a left thingie in the US but more a rightwing thing here, but i am not for more government control..less is more..
But some things such as Health care, and some minimum of social security should be coordinated by the public sector, not private...I've also red an article about the the Corrections Corporation of America [CCA] and private prisons in the US, it was actually hilarious reading that, how they played with peoples lives at the same time making the most profit..
I believe most Americans wanted a different health care system, in a rich country nobody should die because they cant afford premiums or operations. .period.
And yes you've been concerned with the world for over 50 yeas, we're still good allies but you've also been by a massive margin the world's biggest polluter and very disproportionately so..Every country should take their responsibility and Bush ran away from it..
The greenhouse effect is real but not the only variable for climate change, but still we shouldnt run away from it..

www.vexen.co.uk...

Oh and if something like Katrina would happen in my country, which did in 1953, everybody from all corners of the country would take on their boots and start helping right away, trying to save lives...solidarity..

Increased Electricity Bills, Increased Natural Gas Bills, and Increased Gas Prices.

We need to take back our government. They are destroying the people.

Another aspect of this is the 2nd layer.

How many businesses have Electric, Gas, Fuel Bills ?

I'd say almost all of them, thus the cost of doing business just went
up and will be passed on to the consumer.

But wait....there is a 3rd layer....Business to business costs went up.

So as a seed is collected, it costs more to do so, more to store it,
more to deliver it, more to plant it, more to water it, more to
fertilize it, more to spray it for fungus and insects, more to harvest it,
more to process it, more to package it, more to ship it, ad naseum...

Most ppl do not see the layers.

This will cause a negative feedback loop that will take several
months for the full detrimental effects to sort themselves out.

Plan now for self reliance on as many levels as you can as the cost
of everything is about to run wild due to them printing money,
and now layering energy costs onto all food and all goods.

This is the globalist dream of destroying the US coming true.

Prepare accordingly.

Good Luck to you all !

The bill is based on nothing but LIES. And who is doing the lying but the weenies in DC. They are using these lies to gain more control, tax us more.
As for the truth of the matter, I could 'debate' gravity with you but the 'truth' is that neither one of us is floating towards space. You can debate this all you want but the truth still holds.

You posted this, and THEN people flag it.... It is NOW on the front page, but it takes some time... there is no magic "put this on the front page" button...

Maybe the politicians should have done the research....or better yet... maybe they should have read the damn bill before voting on it.

Here's a great global warming quote from Nancy Pelosi I just discovered...

“Every aspect of our lives must be subjected to an inventory”

and from the other side, one from Richard Lindzen.

"He who controls carbon controls life. It is a bureaucrat's dream to control carbon dioxide."

well, we could all pitch in say, $5.00, find the worker who's responsible for typing up the final draft of the bills, and bribe her to insert a few lines into it...
basically saying that they all resign, due to their incompetance..

if it passes like that, well, at least we will all get to watch them squirm after they realize what they did!!
and, well, they couldn't deny the incompetatance part, since the fact that they signed the bill would prove that much!

That deserves a thread of its own! Just think of the things we could sneak into bills that they don't read.

It boggles the mind!!!

I think this will be great. Once everyone is angry at their utilities for the outrageous prices, the government will step in and save us by either paying for our bills, and/or enforcing more regulation. Then the government will stand proud at rescuing the petty poor from a catastrophe they created.
If I am not mistaken, the price increase will start gradually from 2012 at 6% and boil us to death by 2020 like frogs. By then this whole bill will be overshadowed by Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, and the great Billy Mays. (Seriously, I will miss the guy

Another quote from article sourced above...

Questions for Senators

1) What impact will this bill have on temperatures? (Answer: "Meaningless")

2) What will the bill cost? (Answer: Trillions)

3) Why are you voting for a bill that will have huge economic impacts and harm the poor and seniors on fixed incomes the most -- but will not have a measurable climate impact?

4) Why are more and more scientists publicly rejecting man-made climate fears and why has the Earth failed to warm as predicted?

where is the resistance? or is this meant to be a lone wolf thing?

Well some ppl would say it is with alex jones ppl, but I think they
will just be the first victims of HR 645.

If you get too organized, you will be going on a list, just like
it happened in Germany.

Naomi Wolf covers it very well, and the thing that has really amazed
the liberals including her is it is continuing under Obama.

The end of America

Good Luck to you all !
