If you look at the dollar bill, you will notice the pyramid symbol is complete

not like our current dollar bill, where its not complete.

ok , obviously this was hyperbole... Ron Paul doesn't actually believe Obama wants an economic collapse, but the current path looks like that's an inevitability to Ron Paul...

The title was a bit misleading..

He's been saying it for a long time...at least as long as I've known about him. It's not really misleading....except for the word "goal." He's been saying that we are collapsing the dollar for a long time.

He predicted the entire mortgage crisis and said how it would happen...in detail...and that alone should make people take him seriously.

The debt is unsustainable...I've often questioned the motives of it all because the amount spent is almost impossible to pay back.

And when the national sales tax is implemented vai ron Pauls caped leadership, what agency is going to handle that? And how are american businesses going to handle the millions fleeing across the borders to avoid the 30% tax increase on the products?

Sorry dude, but a national sales tax is not under "Ron Pauls caped leadership."
He would rather eliminate the income tax all together among many others that need scrapping.

Heres an interview for you to read...enjoy.

Tax Talk 2007: Ron Paul

and so you don't miss his view on the national sales tax:

I have advocated eliminating the IRS for my entire political career. The IRS could be replaced with a flat tax or national sales tax, although any consumption tax must be coupled with prompt repeal of the 16th amendment.

A national sales tax would be a step in the right direction in my opinion, but that would probably pull in more revenue than the income tax. A tax on EVERYTHING you can possibly buy. Think about what that would bring in on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis. The government wouldn't change if it were implemented in my humble opinion.

Not to mention RP is strongly opposed to NAFTA which is a huge loss of tax revenue...and jobs!

End the wars as well, that takes care of the income tax. Cripes, if the government just stopped screwing things up we could start to recover...but nope...they keep making things worse.

True, but what other explanation is there for these obviously destructive, counter productive policies?

Either he wants to destroy the economy, or gain complete control of the economy, and have the vast majority of people dependant on the government. A government that will be larger and more intrusive into our lives than ever before.

The president has also shown an incredible lack of leadership in foreign policies.

He is obviously focused entirely on domestic agendas and polices... which would be fine, until you actually realize what potential impact his plans will have on our lives and generations into the future.

Okay President Obama, you inherited a lot of problems.... But please explain to all Americans how going from a $500 BILLION deficit to $2 TRILLION has helped the economy so far? how many jobs have you really saved or created? Over the years to come how many more trillions in deficit spending are you planning on????

Its too bad we can't get away with this kind of spending in our personal lives... I'd love to have a perpetual blank check at my bank with no limits on how much debt I can create in my accounts.

Just thought i'd throw this in here, since it's not really worthy of its own thread.

Although some may think Ron isn't heard much,
he is still widely known through out at LEAST the internet.

Check out digg.com
digg.com...

2331 diggs as of this moment, which is pretty high amount of diggs.
He's one of the few politicians I see pop up on digg. People do watch what he's saying, and spread it.

I'm very grateful and impressed with his online followers.

Broken record. Iv heard many things from Ron Paul, doesnt make me even turn much anymore. We are in an economic crises, true, but as per usual we get the alarmists coming out and push their own agenda. Because we dont choose ron pauls route, to close down the IRS and replace it with another agency to handle the skyrocketing taxes on our products in place of income taxes to which millions will then cross into Canada and Mexico for their products, the goal here is economic collapse. Funny we have not even seen his plan in action before, the man doesnt even know whether it works let alone how its going to work. All it is, "end the fed", end just another agency and that will solve our problems, to be eventually replaced with another problem i.e another agency.

Not all of us buy the Ron Paul talk. True, Iv said this before, the man had the balls to tell it like it is back in 03' but nothing further than that. When the economic recovers next year, with all the conservatives complaing the recovery the result of "a cycle, not a stimulus" what will Ron Pauls excuse be? I get the feeling he will be using the same alarmist rhetoric, nothing surprising really.

Hell You have that record too?

I know it note for note and can play it in any key...

Why isn't RP our Pres? By "ours" I mean the 10-15% of the U.S. population that is awake and not happy about being surrounded by sheeple. I have nothing against Obama, I am a supporter of his but I really would like to see him grow a set of testicles and have him quit being the puppet that he is.

we have debt we cannot pay off; out of control spending that is just getting started with no way to stop it because it's already "passed"; congress that rubber stamps whatever bill the president puts forth without even reading it; czars each with their own budget, staff, authority and kingdom to rule that are multiplying like rabbits; a president that takes over industries right and left and has now given "increased power" to a semi-private organization that oversees (prints at will) the nation's money and is not accountable to or overseen by anybody. that's before the health care thing gets started. in what world could this all turn out okay? in what world could this economy "turn around"? oh i forgot to mention the credit default swaps and other toxic assets that riddle our entire economy.

I feel like I'm in the grand ballroom of the titanic. We are wearing our fanciest duds and surrounded by beautiful things, listening to the band play while our fabulous unsinkable ship is already filling with water. Ron Paul wants us to wake up--and do what? vote on election day? write to our elected officials? make phone calls to our friends? not gonna help. we've hit the iceberg and we're taking on water. our three branches of government that should have been those compartments that seal off have had holes drilled in them and let that water pour in everywhere. you can't look to the constitution because nobody goes by that any more. not the courts. not the legislative branch. not the executive branch.

this situation didn't come up over night. it's been oncoming for some time, but obama and his congress and his czars not only didn't try to minimize damage from the iceberg but hit it straight on at an ever increasing rate of speed. yes i know, bush's fault. republicans...8 years of war... but the current captain is obama and he's doing his level best to bring about economic collapse as fast as possible.

why?

one world currency? subservient populace? reduced population? maybe, but under none of these circumstances will the power elite live as well as they are living right now. they will be better off than anybody else but still miserable compared to the wealth at their disposal right now. why are they destroying that? why?
