Over all I can't really recommend this movie, however the characters played by Travolta and Denzel Washington were very believable. Travolta was great as the antagonist. I had much more empathy for him than any of the authority figures. Not much new there. Travolta since Pulp Fiction, one of the classic comebacks, has my respect as an actor. Mr. Washington is always superb.

My overall complaint of the movie was the current MTV editing style of a cut every 3 or 4 seconds. From my limited film experience; quick cuts are a method to cover up sloppy set dec, continuity, background glitches, poor direction, etc. Just to jumpy for my tastes. I would like to have seen more of NYC than just the subways.

Strong language and violence....not for children!
