It was Himmler who was pushing Hitler into the race issue. Hitler eventually gave up racism. He just wanted to push the communistic jews out of Germany. Hitler was a great leader, but he wasn't leading Germany or many people to a better world. A few members seem to be misunderstanding the society he stood for.

Nazi Party politics were based on strict authority and demanded obedience. Obedience was reinforced by the propaganda machine and the layers of pressure his system created. Nazi beliefs were enforced by death squads and the fear of night time visits by SS soldiers. Torture and the killing of whole families was well known. They didn't rule by consensus, many supported the 3rd Reich...many others were ruled by fear and terror. Nazi Youth policies meant that children were required to attend camps that drummed in the ideology. Girls were taught to be homemakers and boys taught to be soldiers. A 'loyal' Aryan woman would have 6 children.

People that didn't subscribe were eventually marginalized in the community and many of those would be taken away to the camps. Grave sites littered the country where families had been executed on the edge of towns and villages and buried. Widespread human experimentation is documented. One feature of the Nazis is that were extremely well-ordered! They kept files and documents on everything...

ATS has a lot of 'free thinkers' and people questioning authority and openly criticizing leaders. Think again! You'd be dragged screaming into the street and executed. Your family would join you. If you were Romany, Jewish, homosexual, disabled, low IQ or physically deformed you'd find yourself on one of the trains.

Fair enough, some guys might identify with Hitler's ideology and interests. It's only at the superficial level. Scratch the surface and what he represented was rotten and cancerous. Be careful what you wish for...

I am surprised that no one has mentioned this. The Aryan race is a myth. It was created in the 19th century by ignorant and ultra-arrogant western scholars.

During the British colonization of India, information about the Indians became available to the west. First, linguists determined that the language resembled European languages. Second, they could not believe that these "savages" could come up with such beautiful literature with deep and complex philosophical ideas. So, the people of India had to have come from Europe.

The word used in the Vedas for a wise and noble person is Aryah. So these people must be Aryans. Hence the Aryan invasion of India theory was developed.

It's a shame that Hitler's 1000 year plan caused so many deaths over an idea that is false.

Honestly, I think Hitler had an embedded self hatred. If you notice, everything that Hitler was like, he tried to eradicate. He had some form of psychosis that led him to believe that he was "evil" and he thought, at least in my opinion, that if he eradicated any and everything that was remotely like him, "evil" would be gone from the world.

Well, there is no question in my mind that Hitler came across some information that infuriated him. It infuriated him so much that he turned against his own fiananciers...

Hitler was sick, no doubt. Was he wrong? Well, certainly not about everything. He knew Joeseph Stalin to be exactly what he was, a murderer. Stalin is responsible for any where from 20 to 80 million deaths. Yet, we talk about Hitler.

Well, the Aryan thing isn't the only thing that is false that may have "drove Hitler off of the edge." Supposedly Hitler was well acquainted with The Protocols of Zion which led him to really believe that the Jews conspired to destroy humanity.

From my understanding, the is no truth to The Protocols of Zion whatsoever.

He was a member of the Thule Society. I'm not sure, but I believe they taught some similar beliefs.

I thought the Aryan race was supposed to be the original Indo-European race, regardless of eye and hair color?

Didn't Hitler think the Indians were Aryan because they were so advanced and had to have been originally from Europe?

The test for Aryanism (?) was based on ancestry not hair or eye color, the test was to make sure you were of pure race with no mixing of other races, through historical records.

After having a quick read through these pages I've read that old Adolf Hitler was nuts, half jewish, didn't have blue eyes, and finally, was gay but nobody has mentioned his lack of a testicle! It's true, apparently Hitler really did only have one ball. . .

On a more serious note, I'm amazed that anyone would waste time studying Hitler. Surely this psychopath who brought misery and death to so many should be flushed down history's toilet with all the other turds.

Your reading my words wrong. I don't know what you do with your turds but I flush mine away into the sewer where the memory of Hitler should rot forever. There's nothing to be learnt from this psycho! The man is one of the worlds biggest mass murderers.

X, of course he didn't fit the bill but he would have blamed that on the Jews and other inferior races having diluted the "superior" gene pool. A majority of Germans did not fit the profile. He was moving them toward racial purity and convincing them that it was right and could be achieved. If he started casting stones at the Germans that weren't up to the standard there would have been little cannon fodder to send out for his conquests.

I'm guessing here from what little I know of the experiments they were performing and the rhetoric. I think if they were successful, the Nazis would have eventually had the German peoples selectively breeding to purify the gene pool. They would not have eliminated all minorities and foreigners, they would have been used for manual labor. You would have had many Germans though that would not be allowed to procreate. There would have been a selection of "breeders". Very frightening. Just an aside to this, I'm sure that despite their research and experiments they never considered the inherent dangers and genetic weakness of an inbred population. They were blinded by their ambitions and that's likely why they never questioned the purity of the fuhrer himself. The blond haired blue-eyed German was simply a goal to focus on. Just my take.
