As far as I see, you are wrong. My life has been undisrupted by the economy. I am middle class. Neither rich nor poor. You know why? Because I know
that mortgages and debt are bad, and to not spend more than I have. The ignorance of some does not justify the theft of riches from all people whoa re
wealthy. Find the frauds and arrest them. Leave the rest of the wealthy alone.

How about we keep it simple?
If you have 10 children in front of you and a basket with 10 apples in your hands,
what is the most logical, ethical and natural thing to do?
Sure, you have worked hard for your current luxury, and you played it smart.
Good for you, I have zero interest in your possesions, as should anyone.
But what about the 10 million children that die from simple curable diseases, each year, due to lack
of the most basic healthcare?
While some guy walks around with 11 billion to his name, garnered through the hard work of speculation?
11 billion! That's 11 thousand millions!
I think digging ditches in an Arizona summer is hard work, and I did it for less than 10 bucks an hour. I'd have to work full-time for a couple
hundred thousand years to make that 11 billion.
You really think he deserves that much?
I think it's criminal.
And I think it's well overdue that people stop buying the "hard earned" bs...
The super-rich make their money from speculation or from simply having money, being born rich. Here's a cool docu on them:

Ethical and morals have no place in what government has a right to do. Unless a person actively tricks another into forking over their money for a lie
(Like telling them they can afford a house when you no they can't), then you have no right to take any money from them. It is a person's right to
keep their money. If I had apples, I'd give them all to the kids. But if I had a lot of houses, I'd keep them all and sell them when the market is
good.
Apples and houses are different things.

That's basically a horrible form of telling people to do what you want, against their opinions. This is the opposite of a free society. If you don't
want them to have money, don't buy from them. But you have no right to take money from those who know how to make it just because you think they are
bad people. There's no rule that says you have to give to the poor except for the ones in holy books. And if you want to enforce what they say, I and
many others will stand against your theocracy. And even if you do it on secular basis, there's no difference. Weather God or man commands it, you
cannot enforce the view points of one onto the other.

Yes, i understand what you are saying there, but unfortunately we do not live in a 'free' society. We may think that we do.
My point was that they are focusing on the wrong people if they want to engender good community relations etc because as long as people see
corporations posting big profits but not really enabling communities other than through employment which is essentially a form or slavery.."you are
with us or you are against us).
Yes, corporations have a right to make money. I don't think they have a right to make money hand over fist at the expense of people's lives, paying
low wages, engaging in unethical treatment, raping foreign resources (including labour) and essentially being unnaccountable.
My beef, I guess, is with the inequity.
Free market be damned when it LOWERS the overall quality of life to feather the nests of the few.

Good cause... helping out others, pulling resources and what not but, it does remind me a bit of 84.... volunteering spare time at centers because you
have to serve the government.

Exactly. Now take that a step further and nobody should be able to sit on 11 billion dollars while children die from simple, preventable, curable
colds.
10 million a year! And that's not even counting the ones who starve to death...
Or do you think a child should be able to make mends with whatever he/she is born with, and we are all born with equal resources and opportunities?

That's why government exists. but merging an already corporate government with the civilian willing force is very very bad. Working for the
government, working for a business, and working for the aid of all should be separated, not equal.

No worries "Sour", I totally understand how this crap can be distracting. I don't know how old your children are but I'll share something with you
as a example of how I had decided to handle mine back when the H1N1 (A) first broke in Mexico, before it was reported here in the US. Both of my
boy's use to say "oh Man" dad's back on ATS again or listening to his radio talk shows again lol so I know the feeling...
I put in my DVD player the Documentary "End Game" one day when they came home from school, I then had the news on and said that it was a assignment
for me to do for work. I then asked them to help me understand how the stuff on the DVD that was made in 2007 was happening today. A week later I put
in the DVD "The Obama Deception" and played it off the same way and then went to Youtube to find clips of kids being harrassed by cops for riding
their skateboards, cops abusing their powers with other people (mostly kids) and then I asked them more questions about how they felt about it. It
honestly did create a discusion.
Now they come to me at least once a week and ask me if somebody we know is "Awake" or if they see or hear something at school that they know know
doesn't seem right they ask me if that is part of the change and we discuss it.
What I found interesting today, my youngest son wanted to go to his friends house, I was listening in on his call, he asked if his friends mom or dad
would be there and then asked me for a ride. My first thought was that maybe he was scared by what I had shared with him but then he said better safe
then sorry lol... I thought that was cool.
To answer your question about the mischief arrest only going to be happening here? I honestly don't know because I didn't expect it here! But my
honest opinion is if it is happening here to gain higher % of registration for "United We Serve" then it will be nationwide. The Gov goal is to have
a 70%-80% before they announce 9/11/2009 the official day of service this Sept.

They sometimes do try these things locally before they go nationally.
One thing I hate is that in New York they've been taking major road ways in the boroughs that need to be 2 lane or they back up, and they've been
slamming on bike lanes over one of the 2 lanes. Why would you do that? Oh right, because it's to encourage more green movements? Yea that's what
they say. But you know what I see? More cops ticketing people because they use the bike lane. There's this place where the subway passes between 2
double lane one ways, each going opposite ways. When you reach a part where a bridge allows a connection between the 2 one ways, the bike lanes stop
and become dotted lanes. but if you pass through the sold bike lane, lets say to try and make a turn from a larger vehicle, it's illegal to pass over
the solid lane, even if the car is only a foot onto the lane. No exceptions, cops spring out of the side roads they park in and issue a ticket.
This is another example. Sure it's good to be green, but the city is just using it as an excuse to back up traffic, aggravate people, and make them
more likely to do actions that lead to a ticket. What is disguised as a good thing, is really just a way to expand control over your life and make you
angry more. Emotional control, decision control, and monetary control, all with one stone. Clap clap clap NY city.

Yes, i have ALWAYS gotten the same evil vibe from Rahm, since the first day I saw an interview of this guy.
American youth are being taught to fight "terrorists" at a time when the DHS came out with a report from Janet Napolitano in which they claim most
Americans are "possible terrorists", and at the same time when Emmanuel Rahm has stated that if you are a "possible terrorist' you shouldn't have
weapons...

Now, I also read some info here, regarding this mandatory service, AND ive asked people online about it...apparently, its supopsed to be
volunteer service, not mandatory. I did see the interview clip with Emmanuel stating mandatory service...but its illegal..at leat unless the FED or
obama changes or makes a new clause in the bill of rights.
Since before the elections the Obama websites stated that part of the Obama plan was to introduce these REQUIRED/Mandatory Community Service.
You are saying mandatory service is illegal because of the bills of rights, but already all the Obama nominees, and the entire Obama administration
are gun grabbers, yet the Second Amendment clearly states that the right of every American to own and bear arm shall not be infringed, yet it is being
done daily.
there are even states claiming that they don't have to abide by the Second Amendment, which clearly indicates to these people the Constitution, and
Bill of rights do not matter.
President Obama has even stated that we need a new Declaration of independence, and there even was recently an attempt at making dramatic changes to
the Constitution, and we were able to stop it because it was leaked out that they only needed three more states to do this.
If you read H.R. 1388 you can see exactly what is going on. The Obama admisnitration gave all power over the learn based programs, and volunteer
programs over to something they call in the bill "The Corporation", and it gives the Corporation power to teach students, and even teachers whatever
the Corporation wants.
The current administration has no intent to uphold and defend the Constitution, they want to change it and in the process forever change the Republic
into a Socialist Dictatorial regime.

The only time there is hunger and homelessness in this country is when the opposing party is in power. You see specials on TV, you see magazine covers
with pictures splashed all over but miraculously when the Democrats are in power you don't hear squat and they expect us to 'Volunteer' our
precious time and effort to further their agenda !!! HORSE HOCKY!!!!
