Seriously, give the guy a break!

I am a Candaian, and the whole North American Union was the biggest blow to my pride ever because of not wanting to be associated with the Bush mess...

Now that Barak is here, I feel proud again.....like Canda being attatched to our American Neighbours and family is something I can be proud of now, instead of sad and ashamed when it was Bush...

There is a right way and a wrong way to do things. Sometimes how you do it is just as important as what you do. I'll give you an example from Canada.

When Gay marraige was passed it wasn't done originally by a change of the laws it was done by the Supreme court deciding that the constitution should have included it. You can't claim that the writers of that document didn't know about same sex marraige since it dates to the early 1990's. If Jean Createn had wanted to pass it he should have had an open vote in Parliament, he knew it wouldn't pass so he had it done through the supreme court. The Supreme court is not allowed to make laws or change laws. Because of the way it was passed the Canadian system was broken and now others can use the courts to legislate, which is very dangerous.

Personally I see nothing wrong with Same sex relationships/marraige, but they should have had a real vote and passed it and been done with it. Instead they broke the system to ensure it passed; to be honest I suspect that Jean Createn used such a politically charged topic just so he could break the system on purpose. That way anyone who opposed the method was a homophobe.

They're both the same person. Obama has a better tan.

You are being had. Fooled. Tricked.
Not uncommon for an American.

Actually the only thing propping the dollar up is the fact that foreigners, specifically china, buy a huge chunk of our debt. If china were to stop buying all our debt, the Chinese economy would crumble, the dollar would drop in value, and America would no longer have a trade deficit.

Or to put it another way: Selling debt to china GOOD. Not selling debt to foreign governments BAD.

I voted for Nader, because I care about the direction this country is going. Too bad I was in the minority.

Nader was a great candidate. So was Ron Paul (too bad didn't get the nomination), so was Kuccinich (no nomination either).

Our lovely corporate media always made them look like kooks, and the idiotic public ate that up.

So we're stuck with people like Obama/Bush, who really aren't all that different.

I voted for Ron Paul. Ironic isn't it, that the same people who bashed Bush love Obama, and yet, they are the same!

Tha IS true, but when put under pressure we pretty much ALL are the same to an extent...

When in survival mode, we all panic and make self centered and erronus choices...

That is why I am saying we have to leave less and less up to the big boys, and get back on track more in our individual thinking....

See, your argument is solid too, but it is just going to be forever a diffeerent face on the same problems if we don't start taking government out of the picture more and more, and empowering ourselves instead.
