Avatar is not showing on forums!

Ok, I tried my best to not get to the point where I would have to post a thread on my avatar issues, but unfortunately I can not go around it anymore due to not being able to find the solution to my problem. I am not getting an error sign and I know the size is fine at 160 x 320. The avatar is showing in my public profile, however it does not show up when I post in the forums at all. If it is due to me not having enough posts for this I understand, just how many does one need to have avatar showing on posts in forums? If it is something else causing these problems, I appreciate any help. Thanks!

Haha, thanks it does a bit. After I was posting this thread I kind of noticed it looks like a lot of people are in this same rather large boat Hopefully someone will come along and help us solve this. Till then we wait! lol

If you look in you account settings it will tell you that you need to put the picture in a place called the media portal. Of course when you try to register in this media portal you'll get some type of error message which I've gotten over and over again, hence is the reason my avatar isn't up.

you dont need to register,you use your exiting ats information, and also there is a guide right next to where you put in your avatar url.

By the sounds of it you are using an avatar posted on the web other than ats, that wont work.

I'm having the same issue. Sad. I've been at ATS far too long to be such a tech. tard.

I did that and it keeps giving me some type of error message. I'm beginning to think there is some type of conspiracy against me here on ATS.

Okay all together now,Just kidding,

This video by the Overlord shows how to put up a background but the second part is about putting up an avatar. I would suggest stopping the video as you go along step by step.

I'm in the same boat too except I'm stuck with my old avatar and my new one isn't showing up. What's weird is that I totally deleted the old avatar from my pictures and yet it keeps showing up
I wish i could offer some help or advice but I have none, sorry

Thanks for the help but it's still asking me to login everytime. It will NOT let me log in with my ATS username and password.

Just a thought here . Have you tryed closing ATS first and then logging into the other part? Might be worth a try.

bluemooone2 may be on to something here. Members used to have problems going to the ATS upload space while logged in BTS instead of ATS. You could try logging into MATS from ATS if your not already. Other than that I don't have an answer for you, besides the stranded dump your temp internet files and cookies

Everytime I click into the media portal I get this: "You must login to use this feature!"

When I login in with my ATS username and password it now sends me to an error page, before that it told me something along the lines of 'our system is down, try again later'.

I might be a little paranoid but I think this might have something to do with me having a go at it with some mods almost 2 years ago under a different username which I now can't post under.

Now excuse me for a second while I adjust my tin-foil hat.

Yea, the same thing for me and when I log in with ATS username and password it gives me some error returned could not connect to database and lost connection.

I tried that but it did not work as well. Also, thought maybe you have to sign up for that part seperately so tried to, but it said signups were temporarily disabled! ahh! lol

I do not think that is why, because it is also happening to me and I am fairly new and have not gotten into it with any mods, at least yet

The video skips the most important part... Loging in!!! I would be able to figure everything else out but it won't let us log in...
