Protests In Iran

www.ireport.com

We just got off the phone with our family in Tehan, this is what they had to say:

Our cousin was a part of the protests on the streets. He was beaten very badly but he will be continuing to march.

They say helicopters have been dropping acid and tear gas onto the protesters. They say that tanks havie moved onto the streets to face the protesters. Many more have died and been injured than have been reported.

As we were talking the phone line was disconnected....

Now I understand that this is a somewhat user generated news source, but given the lack of Mainstream access to Iran at this moment in time, I believe we should at the very least give coverage towards accounts such as these.

It is only right that we grant such coverage the same "News Article" status normally given to the MSM and likewise sources, even if it is done only on a temporary basis. We can post a disclaimer upon such articles as this one, but the people need to hear of the types of atrocities which the current Iranian government has historically been proven fully capable of.

If anyone has the video, FOX News also broke the report on the Acid ("Caustic Substances") Drops currently being carried out over Tehran.

Also, the first additional link is from an organization (Zawya) which is more or less the Middle Eastern version of the Wall Street Journal, and a subscriber/partner of the Dow Jones News Service. They specialize in Business News and Information, and they are currently presenting information which backs up claims similar to the aforementioned. Their information has been presented through the Dow Jones Newswire service, which is paid for, and therefore I cannot obtain a direct copy (If someone else can, please feel free to provide it).

Hopefully in the near future we will hear further confirmation of such accounts, and as to their veracity, but in the mean time we must do our best to keep an eye on the developing, and volatile situation continually unfolding in Iran.

UPDATE: Here is the CNN Report describing accounts which somewhat verify the stories of the Helicopters over Tehran, Iran dropping a substance(s) onto the crowds gathered below:

[Take Note of 1:20 Mark, this is where the claims are first discussed]

Also, here is a video purporting to be from the aftermath of one such occurrence:

and yet another piece of footage from the street level:
