I woke up this morning to find this shoved through my front door. I live in a non-soliciting neighborhood much like you all Im sure...Jehova Witnesses
aren't uncommon especially where I live and they do go door to door regardless so I wouldnt think much of it if it weren't for this ad...Take a look
for yourself...This is a real ad and not tampered with in any way I assure you.
Front Side
Back side
Apparently, throughout the nation they are having a series of "How To Survive The End Of The World" meetings in order to "Know the end is near"
like on the backside of the ad...
I'm all for believing what you want but what bothers me here is the fact that there are children subjected to believing the world is truly over...and
thats simply wrong. While things are bad and seem to be getting worse day by day...I don't believe something like this should be thrown into peoples
lives and doors. Nor should children be subjected to thinking that life is over for them here and they will be moving on shortly...
Am I wrong here? I have no problems with religion...I'm sure some will antagonize me and claim im a hypacrit for talking about Jehova's witnesses
since Im not one but this was thrown into my door- the home of someone who is not a jehova's witness.

I gotta admit that artwork is pretty good, the way it shows them coming out of the darkness into the light.
I agree it's kinda scary to talk about such things.

Time to put up the no tresspassing signs and get yourself a big dog.
If that doesn't work answer the door naked and invite them in for coffee and chat, that works everytime.

You been door spammed by the Jehovah's Witnesses. I would say this happens with fair regularity across the nation and in fact the world. These folks
really get around.

I don't know why they are concerned about "surviving".
They expect Jesus to arrive for a thousand years of peace.
Anyway, you have to know that this is just a recruitment tool.

"The end times" have been at hand since John wrote down his acid trip and it was added to the Bible, so it's just more fundamentalist hooey! I
agree that shoving it under your (and anyone elses, for that matter) door is just wrong!
I have the following message to the Jehovah Witness' and other intrusive fundamentalists. Believe whatever you wish in regards to spirituality, but
please leave the rest of us who don't believe the same thing alone!!! If I or anyone else wish to know how you feel and what you believe, we will
come to you and ask! Even if you believe that your's is the only path to 'salvation', please allow me to pave my own road to hell! I don't show
up on your doorstep spouting my beliefs, stay away from mine!!!
To the OP, I have found that answering the door wearing a black hooded cloak (let's here it for old halloween costumes!) and carrying a candle (salt
pentagram in view of the door optional) scares the hell out of them and they tend not to return EVER! Answering the door naked works as well, if
you're not too modest!

I consider myself smart enough to avoid large groupings of people who think the worlds going to end...
but the naked idea did cross my mind...unfortunately...that would mean they would only want the world to end sooner after seeing me naked.

Crossed my mind too, reminds me of a tale I heard recently (slightly digressing off topic my bad) . The discussion was Dads embarrassing their kids.
One girl told how, everytime she braught home a new boyfriend her Dad would dress up in womens clothes , priceless

Heh, I had the same flyer given to me. I was pretty baked, and the lady was really nice.. I just took it and had a little chuckle. They are pretty
lost people, if you ask me. The marching band of that no one listens to.

Did you know that Prince-aka that number-thingie he went to before? is a JW? He's actually really a CT'er if you listen to some of his
rants...
Personally think they are crazy. Hey, to each their own, tho
The intrusion is what gets me. Just not right. Maybe they are like the extreme Muslims who get paid; they get paid for covering n'hoods
instead of their faces

This is nothing new for the JW's. They have been handing out this stuff forever.
On a side note, this group I believe holds the record for the most failed end of the world dates ever predicted.

When I was a kid we usually lived way far out of town. My stepdad was a farm hand and we moved around a bit.
There wasn't much excitement out in the sticks.
We used to look forward to the Jehovah's Witnesses coming to the house, especially during the summer when the rents were at work.
One time we all put on monster masks (there were 4 of us kids) and stood by the front windows of the house as the church spammers pulled up. We just
stood there and didn't say anything or move except to look directly at them. They looked sort of freaked out. Then they shoved their pamphlet under
the door and left.
I also remember pretending nobody was home, and then when they shoved the pamphlet under the door we would shove it right back out.

Yep, I got a similiar one about two weeks ago. JW's are rampant in this area...but they do take nice care of all the farmland they buy! My (pamplet)
cover states the following: "All Suffering SOON TO END" (yes, that actually does appear in caps as indicated). I do not have a scanner at
home so I can't show pics right now. Wouldn't matter anyway, this is typical propaganda for the JW's. I am mortified to admit, I have relatives
that are practitioners within this 'cult' (as I choose to call it). They have been spewing "end times" propaganda since 1975 (the year I was
born...lol).
I personally do not take them seriously, although I do believe we are heading towards the end of life as we know it. I've grown up some so I
no longer try to freak them out the way I used to. It does still burn me up how they still recruit though, I mean, they've had there 144,000 since
the 70's........so why still harass us FFS?!

I've had the J.W's come to my door on a couple of occasions and they were always young children or teens, never adults. I find it odd to have an
eight year old question me on whether I'm going to heaven or not.

I was pretty mad that they felt the need to shove the thing through my door so it was sticking out inside in an extremely obvious manner...rather than
say leaving it outside somewhere or on my mailbox or something...
But I feel sorry for them in the end because they may not understand the world for what it really is...
It almost seems like they want the world to end...which may very well be the case given the fact that they probably aren't approving anything at all
that the world has or is.

I was just thinking about that myself. What happens to numbers 145,000 and on? I don't know the numbers of practicing JW's but you know there
are more than 144,000 in the world.

They have been pushing this for a few years now, and what you got under the door is being put out across the country.
I my self do not believe what they say that is for sure!
But one of the things that make this country what it is , is that they can believe what they wish. Myself found that if you ask them not to come by
any more they will not. Most of them are just trying to do what they think is right, so I can not be to hard on them for doing what they do. Just as
long as when I ask them not to come back they give me the same respect! And so far they have , at least in my area.
If we could get people to stand up for what they think just half as much as they do, then we could get some real change in this country.

We had the same flier given to us at the door late last week. Whatever you do, do not tell them you wouldn't want to be saved or live through/ after
the apocalypse, they will keep coming back to try to save you and treat you as a pet project that needs their help!

A simple but often times successful scare tactic. I grew up a witness and even did the door to door work with my mother.
The folks that are depressed or down and out in some way are the most susceptible. Witnesses will rescue you...there is nothing like having had a
lonely and difficult life and then one day you open your door to smiling, caring people that are anxious to get to know you and help you through your
difficulties.
Witnesses are for the most part good folks..slightly mis-guided IMO.
