okay, so i heard that quentin tarantino is doing a sequel to pulp fiction. he was on a talk show (donno which, they're all the same...) when he said it. it would have something to do with whatever was in the case. anyway, i looked up on imdb, and haven't been able to find ANYTHING. so has anyone else heard this?

It wont happen, I think it's too late now. I hate sequels anyway.

Here is a blurb on the project from a Q.T. interview:

The Vega Brothers

It's a sequel to both Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs, actually, it's a sequel and it's a prequel. It's the Vega Brothers, played by Michael Madsen and John Travolta.

He's already officially said he wont do that Spectre, I'll try and find a link if I've got the time.

Basically he said both Travolta and Madson are too old now to play younger versions of themselves, so it would be a bit stupid and not much of a prequel.

John, have you actually read what he posted ?

It's the Vega Brothers, played by Michael Madsen and John Travolta. I have been trying to do it for years, and the more time I take, the older these two guys get. But I've come up with an idea that won't much matter how much they age....the magic of movies. It's going to be great. It'll be funny, and these guys are so great, alright, they're going to be like two oversized mob-men fighting over the last bowl of pasta, that we can't go wrong. It's just going to be John and Michael, and I hope to make this my next movie.

I hope he does it, it would be totally awesome ! The line I bolded really made me laugh lol... I seriously hopes he makes it, a movie about the Vega brothers would be kick ass!!!

That is funny. One the same date, April 23, he did an interview saying that he didn't want to do it without a good story. Geez, you'd think if he had really been kicking the idea around for five years some inspiration would strike. "Kill Bill" was another long-term project, so I am still hopeful.

that is the film i was exactly talking about. i was thinking it had to do with vincent and jules though... i forgot about resevoir dogs. i was wondering why he said they were brothers... i just thought it was some sort of symbolic thing. heh.

anyway, as for his next movie... Inglorious Bastards due out next year. that's what IMDb is saying though.

Yes I did read it mOrbid, and he has since made comments that it wont happen because they are probably to old. I don't make this # up for the fun of it.

Inglorious Bastards is the one I've been looking forward to for a while, but that'll probably be put on the back burner now. I hear they're trying to persuade him to do a Kill Bill 2, which is a bad idea. Apparantly it will be the little girl from the beginning after the bride in revenge for her mother. Sounds wank.

Incidentally Seymour Scagnetti crops up twice in his scripts. He's played by Tom Sizemore in NBK and is mentioned as Vic Vega's parole officer in Reservoir Dogs. I guess he likes these little connections.

There is'nt much of a point. In Pulp Fiction, Vega got killed by Bruce Willis. I can't picuture Sam Jackson without Travolta in a sequel.

As for Reservoir Dogs, it would'nt be the same. Only Pink survived the heist, and a prequel would be kinda pointless. Unless they do another heist film and have Pink be the mastermind.

Ah man, I would have loved to see a Vega Brother flick.

Well, I still have the right to dream it will happen...only time will tell.

Tarantino has said recently he thinks the Vega Brothers would be fun to do, but also bear in mind he's currently linked to:

An adaption to Casino Royale

A Kill Bill anime prequel centering on Bill.

Inglorious Bastards.

Another unnamed World War II script.

An unnamed horror project.

Man From Uncle

Modesty Blaise (was supposed to star Uma, I guess Kill Bill's seen that project off)

Bear in mind it took 6-7 years to get another film made after Jackie Brown, and I for one won't be holding my breath, although the man is something very special.

A prequel to Pulp, would be good. But I still think only Travolta can play Vega.

the Vega Brother flick I think could be made at one point
tarantino is very irratic guy he's all over the place with ideas and has a long time left to do so. Rumor is he's thinking of doing Kill Bill 3 ive also heard he wants a stab at a james bond movie (also Vincent's Brother is Mr Blond from Res Dogs) this is one film i would really like to see get made

How do you figure Blodnme and Vega are related?

They have the same last name and Tarantino has said so. That kind tipped me off.

James Gandolfini plays Virgil Vega in True Romance as well. Whether not he's related to Vic and Vince remains to be seen.

Yer right on that one. It wouldn't be the same without him.

I don't remember seeing a movie with Travolta and Madsen, but I think it would be bad ass.
