Funny, it's the same with Jews, I've heard people claim to be half Jewish. That's like saying I am half Mormon half Catholic, just because those are the dominant religions among my family.

I know what you mean. I wonder if I had grown up with Muslim parents would I too be a Muslim? More than likely. So that go me thinking. What if someone grew up with no religious influence at all? What would become of them? I wonder if there has been a case study on this.

A few posts ago I noted that we never hear from moderate Muslims wanting to promote peace and what not. I was reminded from another user that it just doesn't make good news to hear from moderates that's why we always hear the bad side. I can definitely see that. I came across this article that I found really interesting.

There has been not one word of support for the Iranian people from CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations), ISNA (Islamic Society of North America), MSA (Muslim Society of America) and MPAC (Muslim Public Affairs Council).

This regarding the Iranian elections and the Ayatollahs crack down on demonstrators. This is why I am so concerned. It's like they wont say a word against any other Muslim.

The question about this silence is legitimate since there are hardly any developments in the Muslim world that do not trigger a reaction from organizations like CAIR, ISNA or MAS.

Now that the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has warned ordinary Iranians not to stage street protests, the risks these demonstrators face at the hands of the state security machinery and the Islamist Basiji militia, cannot be underestimated. But for those people whose religious holidays aren't recognized by the public school system, that's the choice they have to make. Yesterday, the City Council's Education Committee advocated to eliminate that dilemma -- at least for Muslim families. The committee passed a resolution that would call upon the city Department of Education to incorporate two major Muslim holidays into the school calendar. The committee has also been pushing for the introduction of a state law that would require schools to close on those two days.

So you're afraid they're going to outbreed us? White folk better start having kids fast eh? Actually i've been more worried about the breeding rate of neds/chavs than Muslims. I think they're the ones we really need to worry about. Dole scroungers are way more of a threat to our way of life than Muslims would ever be. But they're white so we tend to not care.

A taxi driver put it very well to me the other day. He said 'One day Muslims will rule Britain'. I asked why he thought this. He said 'Because they have proper family values, and ours no longer exist. The genral population is being taken over by benefit cheats and parents that don't know how to relate to their kids any more'. I have to say, when i look around my city i tend to agree.

I too could give links showing Christians doing bad things like mudering and stabbing people and very unchristian things. Propoganda websites mean nothing to me. Not all Muslims believe in Sharia law and Sharia law is not very Islamic in a lot of ways. Like honour killings for example, or death for 'insulting' Islam (where those in charge get to determine how insulting that was and can use this for pretty much anything). These are laws upheld by hardline fascist clerics that twist them to suit their own needs. Something that men in power have done for a long long time across ALL religions.

It's strange that Jews have been using Halakha law in Britain for a while and we've never freaked out about that. But if a Muslim wants to use their own law we accuse them of wanting to hang homosexuals. How fair we are!

Iran is not the only country that uses hard lines laws like the death penalty for homosexuals. There's also Nigeria, Mauritiana, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Yemen. But then the US puts children and disabled people to death. So this point is moot.

The benefit of Islamic laws are having to give to charity, something i think everyone should do, and the banking rules. Getting interest free loans and not allowing banks to lend out way way way more money than they actually posess then charge interest on that money that doesn't exists (=charging interest for FRESH AIR!) would have prevented a lot of issues with the world.

U.S. District Judge Nancy Edmunds denied Anaheim, Calif.-based Arabic Christian Perspective's request for a temporary restraining order. The group describes itself in its court filing as "a national ministry established for the purpose of proclaiming the Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ to Muslims ... (that) travels around the country attending and distributing Christian literature at Muslim festivals and mosques." A lawyer for the group said it would seek a permanent injunction against the city of Dearborn. "It's not over," said Robert J. Muise of the Thomas More Law Center, an Ann Arbor-based Christian rights advocacy group. Another lawyer on the case said the Dearborn officials action could be part of what he described as a broader Muslim legal attack on critics of Islam in our "Judeo-Christian nation." Not all Muslims believe in Sharia law. That's not too difficult to understand. I'm talking here about Muslims having good family values and a good sense of community. Which they do. Yet you're assuming i mean sharia law. So you believe Muslims don't have good family values and they all agree in those things you've listed above? Really?

Strange. When i'm reading the stories appearing in the news sections it mentions them being arrested for their crimes. This sharia law is very confusing if you say these things are legal then you get arrested for doing them.

This site is propoganda and hate-filled. It takes stories of bad Asian people doing bad things (i say Asian, cause in some stories it doesn't even say the person is Muslim!) and says 'look how bad this religion is!'. I say look how bad these people are!

It seems to me that there is no good religion. Every religion seems to want to shout from the rooftops there beliefs and amass a following. The lies we have been fed are catching up to us now. Before long we will have fighting and killing just like you hear in the news from other countries. Because of what? A set of rules that some half baked nut case says should be enforced? Are we afraid that our God doesn't have the situation in hand? That we have to act on behalf of the creator of the universe? We had better listen to what God really wants us to hear or we will be at each others throat for no reason. We are being set up. Look at the big picture.

Whatever the western media brings to the table regarding european fears of the Muslim , can be put in the same waste basket as their reports on Iran and the russian/georgian war . You only have to look at the Afghan Taliban . Swift and light of foot and able to inflict multiple casulaties on nato forces in afghanistan. Where would they be once the redneck gene is afoot . Instead of hiding within mountains they will live in trailer parks , an easy target for drone attacks . Instead of running rings around nato forces in light armour they will attach tractor tyres to everything that moves, rendering them slow and visible for easy air strikes . Instead of fighting enemy occupying forces, they will be watching nascar racing.

Nobody mentions the threat of redneckness in the media, because it is a threat so far preserved within the boundaries of the usa , and as yet they are showing no willing to infiltrate european borders . When that day comes, rest assured, the front pages of european media will be equally blazened with even worse tales of woe and foreboding .
