Topic started on 9-2-2003 @ 09:41 AM by Nans DESMICHELS

The Bible mentions the constellation Orion specifically:

twice in Job (Job 9:9;38:31)and once in Amos (Amos 5:8).

The Hebrew name for Orion is Chesil (KHESIL) which means ìa strong one, a heroî.

Egyptians name for Orion is Oar (OUAR) meaning ìbrightnessî and also Hagat, ìthis is he who triumphsî.The Akkadianís name for Orion is Urana (OURANOS) which means ìlight of heavenî.

The original spelling of Orion, (ORIENT), shows the Egyptian and Akkadian roots -- both denote a God of resurrection coming to the earth.

Jesus is the one who was slain, who will come as the Prince of Light and Glory to judge the world and those who live there.

In Job 9:9;38:31, Orion, and 12 zodiacs signs are noticed to prevent JOB friends about GOD CREATION UNIQUE.
POWER. These stars are mentioned as morning stars.

In Amos 5:8, Orionis Pleiades are mentionned as a danger comming from deep skyies.

Note*

In or about 2022, a VERY large asteroid will cross inside the lunar orbit. Although astronomers are downplaying the possibility, a statistically significant chance of collision exists.

Best advice is to move to Denver during close approach. If it hits, will likely be in the ocean, creating tidal waves rivaling those seen on Deep Impact.
