Stop the sound!

All right the summer heat managed to dry all the surface wells here, and luckily there is still some water left in the well in my home. And so the neighbours have got a huge boring maching now, and are about to start boring. And that too straight opposite to my room.

Imagine the sound that would be created. Horrible. As far as I know the average bore well drilling process takes atleast a day. And how am I going to sleep tonight? And how am I going to manage the sound? It will start any moment now.

Oh what can I do?:bnghd:

The machine has started its job. The noise is horrible.

if the noise gets too much you're gonna have to spend all night on ATS so look at the positives here
And try some earplugs or playin heavy metal at full blast girl---that might help a bit as well
Gotta admit i need my 8hrs a night -----I used to get woken up at silly o' clock most mornings by this friggin cockerel next door but one of my neighbours has murdered it

The bore has dug through the hard rock layers so the sound is a bit better now.

I tried head phones and loud music. No use.

Judging from the sounds of the driller. They might hit water soon, and it will be over before night fall. Lets keep fingers crossed.

Well the world could end today but then who cares about the never ending list of jobs down for tomorrow
And " lazyjet " does have a nice ring to it---sounds a bit like a certain airline that never runs on schedule and can't be arsed with any sort of customer satisfaction.

I feel terrible that you have to suffer of that nasty noise PJ.

So I have found the most beautiful sounding birds video I could find on youtube.
It took me 3 hrs of searching...

Just put you headphones on and block out that insipid noise and enjoy the sweet sounds of birds chirping next to a waterfall...

Hi Peacejet,

I think I'm a bit late, but just wanted to offer a bit of sympathy.

My only suggestion in this situation would be to try and find somewhere else to sleep, even if it's only a matter of taking your mattress into the basement.

On the bright side, at least you know how long it's going to go on for and no-one is doing it to annoy you.

I had years of noisy neighbours and knowing there was a lot of hostility behind the noise made it a lot harder to bear.

Maybe it's your time to do a bit of star-gazing or watch the dawn breaking? There'll be a positive in there somewhere if you can find it.

Hi guys thanks for the worries and the help, the good news is that the boring work stopped at 7:30 PM yesterday.

So, I was able to sleep well.
