Do you think that porn turns people into sick perverts. Or it at least makes people want sex a great deal more.

Could porn have made sex a less sacred thing?

If porn did this that means more people have sex and this raises the levels of Stds and unwanted births.

Also,
Porn is easily accessible to kids making there young vulnerable minds exposed.

Should porn be gotten rid of?

Keep in mind it is a multi-billion dollar industry.

I only know the American society.

Remember, you can vote for threads. If you give a bad vote please state why.

True enough, Illmatic.

I think, depending on when a young person is exposed to porn, it can have a detrimental effect on them in the sense that it can delude their view on women or men, and expectations of sex when it comes. Most porn is highly unrealistic, and when a person has spent much time with it, and only it, they may be surprised at what sex is like, and that people don't generally look all buff, or have such large breasts, or be willing to do certain things.

Is money enough of a reason to pervert all of our minds?

We probably can't kill it. But, if you could, would you?

Yes it is.

Everything in America revolves around the Almighty Dollar.

And to put it simply, Americans are obsessed with porn.

Wars kill people, but it also brings in money, see what I mean?

If I could, yes I would kill porn but people up the corporate ladder are not about to kill a multi-billion dollar business.

Technology has made it easier for parents to block porn from their children's television sets and their internet.

I propose that schools show a "softcore" sex tape that shows how sex is really done.

I also think that sex classes should become standard. I know somen don't have orgasms to much. There are classes that teach how to have sex so it is pleasurable for all parties involved.

In some cultures sex used to be an art.

I know, madmartinez. But I was speaking about exposure to porn before actually being physical with someone. Younger people who really have nothing to compare what they see in porn to. Not adults.

I agree with Madmartinez that porn, in and of itself, is not a bad thing. I'll' be the first in this thread to actually admit to porn surfing from time to time. I think the problem with it right now is accessibility to children and for those who become addicted. terminating other relationships as a result. I have never understood why the powers that be didn't create its own space on the internet. You have .com, .org., .gov, etc. Why not .prn or .xxx. It would make it alot easier to filter.

I had raging hormones and was a mega pervert even before ever having seen porn, but I know what you mean.

I don't think so... I think you have to be a 'pervert' in order to watch porn in the first place.

Now that I'm over 30, I'm still a perv, but more... refined, without my preteen immaturity leading my actions (or words). I may watch porn every once in a while, but feel guilty afterwards...

But deep down, I shall always be that kid looking down shirts.

I had sex ed in gr 7 here, and the focus was reproduction. Adressing porn, and the realities of it all would be useful, I think, especially since kids can access it relatively easily. When I was in 7th grade it was such an issue, I guess.

Bullcrap... When I was a kid, all the neighbourhood kids, male and female knew exactly how to find porn and looked at it. The only result is that we knew as kids already what sex was and what the difference in male and female anatomy was. No trauma, no "dirtying" of our minds, nothing like that.

I've got no problem with porn for adults. When I was a kid all we could get our hands on, forgive the pun, was Playboy, that's not porn. Today it's much more graphic. The problem with this for kids is the way it portays sex. Sex for sex sake is not the message I would want to send to my kids. Pervert though, I don't think so.

No to all and a huge HELL NO! to the last question, "Should porn be gotten rid of?"
sex was made "evil" cause of religion. hell, if we were all still living in caves, we'd see ppl just doing it right there! sex = reproduction and all animals do it and want to do it. humans are no exception.
