The funny thing is not one person has pointed out that the antichrist will go largely and i do mean largely unnoticed in this world. He is not matreya or whatever and has nto been revealed. the bible is very clear on when he is revealed as the son of perdition when he sits in the the house of god and proclaims himself god. He cannot and will not be able to decieve nations and the multitudes if everyone knows who he is and knows he is the antichrist. Christians themselves will be decieved. Christ and his disciples warned to be watchful and prepare and not be decieved yet the bible clearly states we will. At least for a time. You dont know and you wont know till its way into it and he is very well established and he knows this and is not worried about being revealed.
Also i thought i should point out another point of reason here. If your not christian then why would you care or even believe in an antichrist sinc ethe term refers to both the spirit of being against christ and his teachings as well as having been used to refer to the being or whatever to come up against christ at the end of days. If you are christian and the belief in a anti christ comes from that then you should also know that as a christian who he is doesnt matter. You will know him and also his policies by his works as being in opposition to god and jesus. As a christian living your life as best as you can be ever watchful for anything that is anti christ and avoid it lest you be decieved and fall into a false way of living. Avoid those things that would draw you away from god and misguide you.
I also used to be one who was studied eschatology and held somewhat but not fully to a dispensationalist view of end times. If your one who follows the same then you know there are certain criteria according to this view that the antichrist as a person must hold and obama isnt it.
What i discovered in my long time of reading prophecy and trying to discern the sigsn etc etc is this. I had allowed myself to spend more time on the antichrist and those things instead of what was important now and thats my faith in jesus and my commitment to do gods will and practice my faith. Its easy to become obsessed with such things but i finally realized the futility of it all. These things according to my faith WILL happen, all i can do is prepare my soul and try to save as many others as i can in the time i am here. I cannot do this by using the devil to get people to listen to christ. I will not make converts out of people by showing them the way to hell. So who is the antichrist? He is anything and anyone to me that draws me away from gods purpose for me and away from the word.

The Bible is such a poetic piece of literature and rarely fits into any logical explanation. When scientifically dissected by closed minded thinkers some of it's contents can sound very fantastic.
The words antichrist and antichrists appear in the First and Second Epistle of John.[5][6][7][8] The word is not capitalized in most translations of the Bible, including the original King James Version. 1 John chapter 2 refers to many antichrists present at the time while warning of one Antichrist that is coming.[9] The "many antichrists" belong to the same spirit as that of the one Antichrist.[7][9] John wrote that such antichrists deny "that Jesus is the Christ", "the Father and the Son", and would "not confess Jesus came in the flesh." Likewise, the one Antichrist denies the Father and the Son.[6] Theologian William Barclay comments in the Daily Study Bible that "antichrist is not so much a person as a principle, the principle which is actively opposed to God and which may well be thought of as incarnating itself in those in every generation who have seemed to be blatant opponents of God."[10]
"The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to rise from the bottomless pit and go to destruction. And the dwellers on earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world will marvel to see the beast, because it was and is not and is to come. This calls for a mind with wisdom: the seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman is seated; they are also seven kings, five of whom have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come, and when he does come he must remain only a little while." (Re 17:8-10)
" Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour." (1 Jn 2:18)
1. Nimrod.
2. Pharoah of Egypt who perished in the Red Sea during
the Exodus.
3. The king of Tyre who is described in Ezekiel 28, a
description that seamlessly transitions into a description of
Satan himself in verses 12-19. This transition occurs simply
because the king of Tyre was possessed by Satan.
4. King Sennacherib of Assyria who conquered
Babylon. He is described in Isaiah 14 as the king of
Babylon, and there is another seamless transition into a
description of Satan in verses 12-14.
5. Antiochus IV Epiphanes. He is described in Daniel
8:9-14, 8:23-26 and 11:21-45. As with the previous two
kings, the descriptions of Antiochus transition into descriptions
that could not apply to a mere man. In the case of
Antiochus they transition into descriptions of the Antichrist
himself (11:36-45).
(Goodgame p.174)
-The Church Father Clement of Alexandria
asserted that all revelation ceased under Nero’s
reign.
– The Muratorian canon (ca. 170 AD) has John
completing Revelation before Paul had written to
seven different churches (Paul finished these
writings in 67-68 AD).
– The Church Father Tertullian placed John’s banishment
to Patmos at the same time as Peter and
Paul’s martyrdom (67-68 AD).
– The Church Father Epiphanius (315-403 AD)
twice stated that Revelation was written under
Nero.
– The Syriac version of Revelation (6th century
AD) begins with the heading, “written in Patmos,
whither John was sent by Nero Caesar.”
– The Byzantine scholar Arethas, from the 9th century
wrote, “When the Evangelist received these
oracles, the destruction in which the Jews were
involved was not yet inflicted by the Romans [70
AD].
(Goodgame p.175)
As for the beast that was and is not, it is an eighth but it belongs to the seven, and it goes to destruction. (Re 17:11).
11And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
12And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
13And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
14And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
15And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
16And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

I have unfortunatley been called the antichrist..lol.. but it was injest... I think.. anyway , I don't think the antichrist is born yet.
But here's some important questions..
When he is born will he "know" that he is the anti-christ?
or
Will he grow to become the ant-christ, through experience and heart-break?
