it has gone too far. even if i speak my feelings and philosophy with the one i love, she can miss-translate what i said and go telling others. the government does not love us. forget about the finances and such to run and operate a web site, it is no concern. i am feeling the hand as it shadows over us all. if we all meet as a group at a farm, in, let's say upper new york, and all get together and communicate our thought and such, who is in that group that will not go run and "tell". they do not want us to know anything at all, but i say to you that they can not stop us.
this is all not really touching on the original post, but it has sparked something in me that says that, who are you to tell me what to say or do.

Absolutely not. I'm always exceptionally serious about uncovering the truth.

More research? Pollution? I suggest you read the facts that are available instead of "winging" it. The facts are as they are. Shareholders represent NOTHING to the owners of these companies accept as a source of funding or collateral. Those that hold preferred shares or bondholders are the ones that profit most from public companies. Holders of common shares are at the bottom of the totem pole...just ask the AIG, Bear Stearns, Lehman and GM shareholders.

Its obvious you want to avoid discussing certain things because it makes you uncomfortable, for whatever reason. But the facts are what they are, and you offer nothing but gibberish in response.

Big business is moving quickly towards the monopolistic stage. There is no anti-trust...when was the last time you saw a hearing on this?? Competition will eliminate many of your choices because you think its gibberish to point out the obvious. This attitude of complacency and ignorance will leave you and us with very few choices. You will have a handful of companies that have control over most commodities and desirables. Like it is now with the media and those offering internet service. It will be regulated by those that write the rules....the lobbyists hired by the companies.

How many choices do you have for cable? two, maybe three if you're lucky.

In many areas like mine, you have one choice unless you want a satellite dish and then you have two choices.

The blind leading the blind

Meaning

Uninformed and incompetent people leading others who are similarly incapable.

Origin

This appears in the Bible, Matthew 15:14 (King James Version):

Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

No offense, but why don't you answer the man's question and put up or shut up? Stop trying to draw this out into a "no u, no u, no U" argument. This isn't some site where you can say stuff like "You don't believe him, do you? This nutter's off his chair.
" and get away with it.

Provide your proof to the contrary if you have any. If you don't, kindly either further comment on other points or leave the topic.

The main information of this thread is true.
Many websites have been already "quarantined" by international secret governments.
One live example is the website www.voltairenet.org which is by Thierry Meyssan who wrote books about 9-11, Israeli Propaganda, and many other subjects.
His main website has been attacked over and over again, and sometimes it just simply doesn't work just like today.
The writer is now a renegade, no one knows where he is because he has been receiving threads to his life.

Being in the business, this does not worry me all that much and i'm a small operator with only a couple of guys working for me...

For starters... I have been planning for this all along... i'll be hosting my own servers when the time comes and handling them myself

secondly, I spend allot more time dealing with lousy ads than i would like

I have three computers running here in my living room atm and when i'm not talking in here... I usually have click bank open in one and Cj in another and i'm driven nuts by it...

I would prefer... seriously prefer, to charge 1.00 per visitor per month to access a forum or pay it than deal with ads...

and opt in is fine, I could really refine what i sell to specific products I highly recommend

I'm small time... I think i'll make more

I've been buying HD cameras... I have a 20,000.00 animation setup, I intend to start producing higher end content...

I don't much like the ad game, I have money, but I feel like a whore half the time... i'd rather have no choice but to concentrate on the content

i'd pay a buck a month to visit ats

in fact... I could see BIG Bucks stringing together pay one price content networks actually where you wouldn't have 20 different payments

That's exactly how the ad serving companies work now, it's not like my 3,000 plus advertisers pay me 3,000.00 2.00 checks a months lol

This wont thwart me any of it...

annoying needless regulation was bound to come

creative ways to make a profit off of it... present opportunities as I see it, not obstacles

But the again... this is why I'm not a cog isn't it... I like the fight, I like the struggle... I like to have to maneuver, I don't want it easy, i want it to be mine

i'm too far removed from the creative roots I got into this for, they can't keep me down ever, I'm an original number, this really isn't something to worry about

It probably does mean..

i'll have to actually do something other than play with ads...

and dang, that would be okay with me at this point... i've become a whore... really I have...

I promised myself when I started this I'd actually DO something, create things, innovate...

the ppc thing and ad running it's ruined allot of joy... it will be nice to have to innovate and I can... I am sure I can

There is no such thing as "cross site cookies."

The term "tracking cookie" has been created by the media to scare you. All cookies "track", calling such things a "tracking cookie" is like calling a chair a "seat chair".

From what I had already known, combined with my research on this thread, there appears to be little to fear, and no provable harm to have come from behavior-targeted banner advertising. Each "third party" advertising network I researched makes it very clear they care nothing for your name and personal details, they simply attempt to learn about what you like -- "you" being a disassociated numeric identifier -- to give you more relevant advertisements.

The cookie, in this case, contains that disassociated numeric identifier that relates to a series of collected data on the servers of the advertising networks. There's nothing personal.

I think your last 2 paragraphs in that post are accurate. Regarding the first two paragraphs, do you think he could have been referring to "Third-party" cookies as cross-site cookies? Certainly those do exist and IE has separate cookie handling settings for those versus first party cookies.

Old School:

I'd like to personally thank you for bringing this to my (our) attention. As of late, my memory has not been keen to recovery, but I would like to point out a few things:

Back in February 2004, (D-WV) Senator Jay D Rockefeller IV tried to impose his Internet Tax Ban Extension and Improvement Act, with assistance from (R-TN) Andrew Lamar Alexander and (D-DEL) Thomas Richard Carper.

While this was Senator Rockefeller's first quasi-attempt toward blocking major telecommunication companies from imposing excessive taxes (he "felt" dial-up and DSL users shouldn't pay the same taxes because of their different format/speed/cost), back in March of this year, Senator Rockefeller stated that the Internet was the "Number One National Hazard."

I'm not one to quickly toss out NWO statements or say the Rockefeller's, Rothschild's or Morgan's of the world empower us (they do influence politics on a grand scheme unfathomable to astutely accept), but one has to question alternative motives behind such tangible declarations.

In conclusion, there are a pair of individuals that responded who clearly have a different approach (i.e., to excite and wild up the OP, create divergence and/or conflict, pretend that if such law(s) came into existence that "everything will be cool, don't worry about it", etc). I appreciate and respect their opinion, but what I don't appreciate is their lack of understanding and comprehension of this futuristic action. I'd only assume that they haven't read the book 1984 nor have they seen habeas corpus being flushed away (I wonder if they even know how the Patriot Act was passed). I am sure they all work for the same Big Brother who has pounded on us little brothers for years.

No one needs to track and trace my footprints on the Internet. But then again, aren't they doing it already?

S&F for you sir! Please keep up the excellent work that you so kindly share to this clandestine community.

Sincerely,

Quazze Dreylock

There seems to be an “Achilles’ Heel” to this corrupt piece of chit legislation.

Even if it becomes another bogus law that is unwillingly forced down our throats, websites such as ATS that are subsidized by third-party advertisers, could immediately modify their “terms of use,” requiring members to “opt-in” for free service or “opt-out” and pay for the service.

I can imagine 99% of the people will be eager to “opt-in,” thus sending the government worms, their greedy handlers, and the spoiled children of the MSM, back to the drawing board.

The "tracking" word has nothing to do with keeping track of the sites you visit as a way of spying on you. It has much more to do with keeping track of what ads you have seen, and if you clicked on an ad, then it might could put that as an interest. There is no point in showing you the exact same ad over and over if it doesn't interest you. So a unique ID is put into a cookie so that the ad program knows - this guy already seen this ad, lets try something new. Without that cookie it is based solely on your IP address. The advantage with the cookie is that if it's not deleted then if your IP address changes the data can keep building.

So, if you view a bunch of ads, and you click on an ad that is selling cookie cutters, then the program would say ahh, you like cookies, maybe you'd like an ad from a cookie recipe book and it shows that etc.

Or if it sees you are on a page about iphones, then it can say ahh they are interested in iphones, lets give them an ad about iphone accessories etc.

The main goal is just to find ads that might interest you.

In order to track what you do, they would need to have code on every site you ever visit. You would then need to have a user name and login with the company sending ads, with your personal information in it, and you would then always stay logged in with that site. Then and only then could someone possibly track what you are doing.

At which point, all you would have to do is delete your cookies, don't login to their site, and you could then no longer be "tracked".

The conditions required in order to actually track what you do make it almost impossible. Much easier to just listen in on you unsecure connection.

I have written and designed an ad network and I personally do not delete my cookies. I don't block ads, so I figure I might as well get ads that are relevant to me. If someone wants to "track" me, they won't be using cookies. Plus, I really don't care if they know where I look at.

This can be easily won btw

You see, if you added it up... those of us making money on the net

combined have allot more loot than the Rothschild's and Rockefella's of the world

worse lol

to stop it they have to rely on us to program the machines

their time is at an end and they know it, don't be fooled by their nonsense, it's a desperate cry, against a system calling for their demise.

They have no hope of coming even close to winning this fight, they have been undone.

If anyone wants to know exactly how this scheme works look here
www.cl.cam.ac.uk...

Just in case anyone thinks that the information gathered is anonymous.......it isn't!!

50. The words are then ranked by frequency, and words that only occur once are discarded. Finally the top 10 in the frequency list (assuming that there are 10) will be retained as a representation of what the web page was all about. 51. All of this work is done by a machine based at the ISP called a \Pro ler". This machine of necessity sees all of the web sessions, and it is aware of the IP address of the user whose session is being analysed. It also picks out the UID which uniquely identi es the user from the cookie that accompanied the web page request.

The above linked report is by a guy called Richard Clayton, you can read more about him here.
www.cl.cam.ac.uk...

To summarise, these schemes are not as innocent as some would have us believe.

"They" are not just "the governement".

Behind our "government" the real running of our country is Corporate America.

Like little kingdoms in the middle ages, each with it's own "king" are the large corporations run by the elite handfew.

Tens of millions of American's out of jobs because "it's cheaper" to hire and fire people outside of our country. Even if those people are your taxpayers. Ingenius really the people pay their governments salary, and inshort, are being screwed and paying for the privledge of being screwed by a government owned and operated by the heads of corporations.

Tens of millions of American's with no health insurance.

Tens of millions of American's with no home and no prospect of ever being able to buy a home.

Tens of millions of American's with no jobs simply because the large corporations have packed up and taken their head count to third world countries where the people still live in grass huts, have no plumbing and work for 1.35 an hour.

Pretty soon there will be two classes, the very rich living in mansions and the rest of us all living in grass huts or cardboard shanties.

People playing hatchet man to their fellow human beings in order to justify and maintain their own survival in a world gone mad only to eventually find themselves at the chopping block too (managers).

The internet, particularly sites like ATS have become the basis for information as more and more compliant little sheep awaken and "they" are scared.

Scared that if enough of us awaken we might gather the strength in numbers and courage to take back the keys to our prison and demand an end to our servitude.

If the vast majority of people do not wake up and gather some bravery we are indeed headed for a all out prison planet.

He who controls the information controls the masses.

Read my location. I did not choose this lightly and have had it on almost from day one that I jointed ATS.

Read my signature.

If you allow ANY kind of wongness to befall another in the name of your own survival you too will perish.

UNITED WE STAND DIVIDED WE WILL FALL and we are falling and fast.

I will repeat myself because every single person out there reading this needs to know who our real enemy is.

"They" are the large corporations and the "humans" running them that control the US Government.

Our government has not been for the people or by the people for a very long time time.

Our government is for the large corporations and run by the large corporations with the people serving them.

All of our large media are owned and operated by the large corporations which in turn are run by an elite handful of the richest men/women on the planet.

Control the media of information and truly you control the people's mind.

One last thought.

We are all inner connected. Don't think for a moment that in order to survive you have to screw over anyone else because any screwing over anyone in the name of survival is ludicris. Eventually you too will find yourself being screwed.

Managers that smile sweetly and say "Well Fred / Wilma, I'm sorry but I have to give you a pink slip and escort you and your little box of possessions out" eventually find themselves being escorted out the door.

The only loyality we all should have is to each other and not the CORPORATIONS we work for.

We are all inner connected. What you do unto another you do unto yourself but most people can't see that far down the road.

All this is happening because of certain secret infomation is slowly leaking onto the internet from very unusual sorces which is giving the goverment a pain in the head.Certain indivivials are using very unusual methods to obtain what you might call secret, possible top secret infomation and posting it on the net. These certain indivivuals may or maynot be ex-employes of certain goverment departments who have learned too much over the years.Certain other indivivuals who were thought to be classified as a non-threat in the past maybe infact ,now be classed in a higher security threat protocol. No wounder the goverment wants to close down certain web sites which they feel now may be classified as a higher security threat protocol than before.

S+F for a very well thought out post.

I'm assuming that this potential legislation only applies to the US, however it might start to give the idiots in power here (UK) ideas and they just love to pass stupid laws of this kind.

Corporations have so much power over politicians, we need a firewall
between the lobbyists and elected representatives. Why not just ban all lobbyists apart from ones for charity?

No....see my above post, the exact scheme will potentially be rolled out here in the UK, under the name "Phorm"

apparently Virgin media and BT have signed up to it.
