Personally I think its just a smoke ring from the volcano ride, but it does look very interesting!

Good point, what may be the weirdest thing about this whole story is that 2% of the people polled actually think it is from an airplane

I worked for Six Flags in the PR and Marketing department. I was trained in several ride operations as well. Never have I seen anything like this before above a Six Flags. Its not a smoke ring. Either this is a total hoax or totally real.
